01Overview

What the PNM-C16083RVQ is

The Hanwha PNM-C16083RVQ is a 4-sensor AI multi-directional camera built to eliminate 360° blind spots in a single install.

Four independent 4MP sensors each carry their own motorized 3.3mm to 5.7mm varifocal lens, covering 100° wide to 53° tight per direction — one physical device delivers 16MP total across four separately framed views.

Each sensor runs the same AI engine: Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate classification, virtual line and area rules, with license-plate recognition running natively on-camera (no cloud or VMS latency).

Business intelligence (people counting, queue management, heatmap, vehicle counting) runs per channel.

IR coverage scales with power tier — WiseIR 15m per channel on PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Class 4), extending to WiseIR 20m per channel on PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt type3 Class 6).

IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X outdoor housing.

ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M for third-party VMS.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNM-C16083RVQ

Genuine 360° in One Housing

Four sensors each on 100° coverage overlap to eliminate 360° blind spots without the geometry loss of a fisheye dewarp. Every direction is a proper rectangular perspective at full 4MP resolution.

Native License Plate Recognition

Plate reading happens on the camera itself, triggering event alerts within milliseconds. Most competing multi-sensor cameras offload plate work to a VMS server or cloud service, introducing latency and dependency on that infrastructure.

PoE Tier Choice for IR Range

PoE+ install delivers 15m IR per channel; upgrading to PoE++ (802.3bt Class 6) extends to 20m per channel. Choose the power tier to match your site's IR reach requirement rather than settling for a single fixed range.

Motorized Per-Channel Varifocal

Unlike fixed-lens multi-sensor units, each channel can be independently zoomed and focused over the network — a corner mount can have three tight lens channels for perimeter approaches and one wide channel for the courtyard.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Car Park Overhead Coverage

Four sensors framed on four rows or four entry points from a single mast — with license-plate detection running natively per channel for lane-level entry logging.

Building Facade Corners

A single unit at a two-facade corner covers both facade lines plus the corner approach zone and the ground-level path — four channels of AI-classified events from one cable drop.

Traffic Junction Monitoring

Four independent AI streams cover four approaches to an intersection; native license plate recognition on-device triggers alerts to a management system without VMS-side ANPR licences.

Campus Quadrangle Centers

Central mounting on a light pole covers all four surrounding buildings at 4MP each — one physical position replaces four perimeter cameras at each quadrangle corner.

Distribution Yard Choke Points

Loading area choke points with vehicles moving in multiple directions — each channel classifies its own approach with vehicle-type filtering for rule triggering.

    • Quick Start Guide x 1

  2. Installation Requirements

    • Power: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, Class 4) for standard 15m IR — or PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt type3, Class 6) for extended 20m IR per channel.
    • Storage: micro SD/SDHC/SDXC card slots for edge recording (sold separately).

    • Network: RJ-45 with weather-sealed connector for outdoor positions; ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M for third-party VMS or Wisenet WAVE / SSM native.

  3. App & Setup

    • Discover with Wisenet Toolbox Plus or Device Manager.
    • Set admin password on first login (brute-force prevention enforced), configure H.265 with WiseStream III.
    • Frame each of the four 4MP sensors independently via motorized varifocal — different focal per direction as required.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNM-C16083RVQ

Q.01

How does 4-sensor coverage compare to a fisheye?
A fisheye uses a single ultra-wide lens producing a distorted image that must be dewarped, losing resolution to geometry. This unit has four physically separate sensors and lenses each producing a rectangular perspective at native 4MP — no dewarping, no geometry loss, four proper streams into the VMS.
Q.02

Why does the IR range depend on the PoE tier?
IR LEDs draw significant power. PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) delivers enough power to drive 15m WiseIR per channel across four channels. PoE++ (802.3bt Class 6) increases the power budget so each channel's IR can reach 20m. Choose the tier to match your site's coverage requirement.
Q.03

What's the latency on the native license plate detection?
Hanwha states single-digit milliseconds — because the plate recognition runs on the camera itself rather than being offloaded to a VMS server or cloud service, event alerts fire without the network round-trip latency of centralised ANPR.
Q.04

Do the four channels count as four devices on the NVR?
Yes — each sensor exposes a separate video channel. Four NVR channel licences consumed, but physically it's one device on one IP address and one PoE port.
Q.05

Can I focus each channel differently?
Yes. Each of the four sensors has its own motorized 3.3mm to 5.7mm varifocal lens — one channel can be at 3.3mm wide while another sits at 5.7mm tight. Configuration via the camera's web interface, no ladder returns needed.
Q.06

What AI licence do I need for plate detection?
None. Object classification (Person, Face, Vehicle, License plate) plus IVA events and business intelligence are all included on the camera itself, running natively without any additional licence or subscription.
Q.07

What VMS integrations does it support?
ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M — drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) for custom code.
