Hanwha PNM-C16013RVQ 5MP Mini 4-Channel AI Multi-Directional Camera

SKU: PNM-C16013RVQ
Description

- 65% Smaller Than Standard Multi-Directional: compact 20-centimetre diameter body sits neatly on customer-facing ceilings and slim mast tops where a full-size multi-sensor housing would look industrial.
- Four Independent AI Channels: each of the four 5MP channels runs its own Person / Face / Vehicle / License plate classification — one device replaces four single-direction AI cameras.
- 3.19mm Fixed Wide Lens Per Channel: 97° horizontal per direction covers all four cardinal facings without setup — no varifocal to align, no field revisits.
- Government-Grade Cybersecurity: TPM 2.0 hardware chip and FIPS 140-2 certification clear compliance gates for government tenants; 2024 GOVIES Award winner in video surveillance.

01Overview

What the PNM-C16013RVQ is

The Hanwha PNM-C16013RVQ is a compact 4-channel AI multi-directional camera built to bring Hanwha's multi-sensor capability into ceiling and mast positions where a full-size multi-directional housing wouldn't fit — retail ceilings, hospitality soffits, government building lobbies.

It's 65% smaller than the prior generation of multi-directional cameras — a compact 20-centimetre-diameter body against a substantially larger, heavier previous-gen housing — while running four independent 5MP AI channels with 3.19mm fixed wide lenses at 97° horizontal per direction.

Each channel runs on-camera Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate classification plus loitering and line-crossing detection — one device replaces four fixed single-direction AI cameras.

20m WiseIR, 120dB WDR, IP66, IK09 and NEMA 4X ratings, PoE+ single-cable power.

Cybersecurity certifications include TPM 2.0 hardware chip and FIPS 140-2 — clearing government procurement gates.

Recognized as a 2024 GOVIES Government Security Award winner.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNM-C16013RVQ

Compact Enough for Customer-Facing Ceilings

At 20-centimetre diameter and roughly one-and-a-half kilos the unit fits ceiling positions in retail interiors, hospitality lobbies and hospital foyers where the old 315mm 5.2kg multi-directional housing would dominate the design. 65% smaller isn't just easier to install — it's aesthetically viable for interior finishes.

Four Cameras of Coverage from One Cable Run

Four independent 5MP channels, four AI analytics engines, one PoE+ drop, one IP address. Physical install cost, cabling density and NVR IP count all drop by 75% versus four single-direction AI cameras.

Fixed 3.19mm Lens Eliminates On-Site Alignment

No motorized varifocal to align per direction — the 97° wide fixed lens covers the standard cardinal-direction coverage pattern out of the box. Installers mount, cable, and configure via the network without ladder returns.

Certified for Government Procurement

TPM 2.0 hardware root of trust + FIPS 140-2 certification, plus the 2024 GOVIES award, put the camera through the compliance gates that block uncertified multi-directional cameras from government and critical-infrastructure tenders.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Retail Trading Floors

Ceiling-mounted at a floor centre, four channels cover four aisles or product zones simultaneously — one camera position, four AI classification streams into a footfall or loss-prevention platform.

Hotel Lobbies & Reception

The compact body preserves lobby ceiling aesthetics; four channels cover front entrance, reception counter, elevator lobby and cafe entry from a single mount.

Government Building Concourses

TPM 2.0 + FIPS 140-2 + GOVIES-recognised platform meets government camera procurement requirements; four AI channels cover the concourse from a discreet dome that suits public-facing architecture.

Hospital Waiting Areas

Multi-directional coverage of triage entry, waiting room, service counter and corridor from one non-intimidating ceiling dome; AI classification supports duty-of-care event flagging.

Compact Perimeter Poles

Where a pole cannot carry the wind-load or weight of a full-size multi-directional unit, the mini form factor covers four cardinal directions from a slim mount.

Installation & setup

  1. What's in the Box

    • Hanwha PNM-C16013RVQ Camera x 1
    • Mounting Template & Fixings x 1 set
    • Quick Start Guide x 1

  2. Installation Requirements

    • Power: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, Class 4) — verify switch or midspan.
    • Storage: micro SD/SDHC/SDXC card slots for edge recording (sold separately).
    • Mounting: compact multi-directional dome; ceiling or slim mast mounting; IP66 outdoor rating, IK09 impact.
    • Network: RJ-45, ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M for third-party VMS or Wisenet WAVE / SSM native.

  3. App & Setup

    • Discover with Wisenet Toolbox Plus or Device Manager.
    • Set admin password on first login (brute-force prevention enforced), configure H.265 with WiseStream III.
    • Four fixed-lens channels — no per-channel focal alignment needed; align mounting so the four channels face the four desired directions.
    • Enable AI object classification per channel; scope loitering and line-crossing rules per direction.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNM-C16013RVQ

Q.01

How much smaller is the mini form factor really?
The mini form is 65% smaller by volume and roughly a quarter of the weight versus the prior-generation multi-directional dome (which was substantially heavier and wider), which makes ceiling positions with light substrate loading practical.
Q.02

Why fixed lens rather than motorized varifocal?
Fixed 3.19mm covers a standard 97° horizontal per direction — enough for the cardinal-direction coverage pattern most sites need. Removing the varifocal simplifies install (no per-channel focal alignment) and reduces cost. If you need per-direction focal variation, choose the motorized varifocal PNM-C16083RVQ instead.
Q.03

Do the four channels count as four devices on the NVR?
Yes — each channel exposes an independent stream. Four NVR channel licences consumed, one IP address, one PoE port.
Q.04

What's the practical benefit of TPM 2.0 + FIPS 140-2?
TPM 2.0 is a hardware root of trust — cryptographic operations happen inside a dedicated chip, resistant to firmware-level attacks. FIPS 140-2 is a US federal cryptographic module standard. Together they clear the procurement gates for federal, state, defence and critical-infrastructure tenders that reject uncertified cameras outright.
Q.05

What does the 2024 GOVIES award mean for us?
The GOVIES Government Security Awards recognise products validated for government deployment. Winning in the video surveillance category signals third-party verification of the platform's suitability for public-sector procurement — practical evidence when specifying against uncertified competitors.
Q.06

What analytics come standard?
Object classification (Person, Face, Vehicle, License plate) per channel, loitering detection, line crossing, plus standard events (motion, tampering, defocus). All included, no additional licence.
Q.07

What VMS is compatible?
ONVIF Profile S / G / T / M — drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) for custom code.
