§ 01Overview

What the QNO-7082R is

The Hanwha QNO-7082R is a 4MP outdoor bullet camera from Hanwha's Wisenet Q series with a motorized 3.2mm to 10mm varifocal lens — mid-range outdoor coverage with remote framing flexibility and extended IR range.

The 99° wide to 30° tight range lets one camera cover different outdoor roles from a single install: wide car park view at 3.2mm, or focused approach lane at 10mm, adjusted over the network without ladder access.

The 4MP sensor delivers 2560x1440 at 30fps in H.265/H.264/MJPEG with WiseStream II bandwidth optimisation.

IR LEDs reach 30m for after-hours coverage — 50% further than the standard Q-series bullet IR reach.

Analytics include motion detection, tampering, defocus detection, virtual line crossing.

Hallway view mode (90°/270° rotation) fits corridor-oriented framing.

Aluminum housing rated IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X — the NEMA 4X classification includes corrosion resistance, meaningful for coastal-adjacent and industrial deployments.

Standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 3) power, microSD edge storage.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the QNO-7082R

Varifocal Framing at Q-Series Price

The 3.2-10mm motorized lens gives one camera the flexibility to cover multiple outdoor positions — no physical lens swap needed. Framing changes happen over the network from the security desk, not at the pole.

Extended 30m IR Range

Standard Q-series outdoor bullets ship with shorter IR reach. This unit's 30m range extends the reach substantially, covering larger outdoor spaces (car park perimeters, warehouse frontages, industrial yard boundaries) where shorter-range units leave dark gaps.

NEMA 4X Corrosion Rating

Beyond standard IP66/IK10, the NEMA 4X classification includes corrosion resistance — meaningful for coastal-adjacent deployments and industrial sites with corrosive atmospheric conditions where standard aluminum housings pit within a season.

30fps Full-Rate at 4MP

The camera delivers 30fps at full 4MP resolution — motion-heavy scenes (car park entry, delivery bay, kerbside traffic) stay smooth for evidence review, unlike lower-frame-rate cameras that motion-blur under similar loads.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Commercial Car Park Perimeters

Motorized varifocal covers wide car park views or tighter approach lanes; 30m IR reaches far bays after dark; NEMA 4X corrosion resistance handles atmospheric exposure.

Warehouse & Industrial Facades

IP66 sealing plus 30m IR covers external walls and roller door approaches; NEMA 4X handles industrial atmosphere; varifocal adjusts as loading bay usage patterns change.

Retail Storefront & Kerb

Awning-mounted bullet with motorized varifocal covers wide storefront or tight kerb entry as promotional layouts shift; 30m IR reaches to distant parking bays.

Building Facade & Perimeter Corners

Corner or facade mount with 3.2-10mm range flexibly frames different approaches; hallway view supports vertical facade coverage.

Fence-Line & Perimeter Runs

Perimeter fence coverage along industrial or commercial boundaries; varifocal tightens on gate approaches, widens for open sections.

Installation & setup

01

What's in the Box

1. Hanwha QNO-7082R Camera x 1 2. Mounting Bracket & Fixings x 1 set 3. Quick Start Guide x 1

02

Installation Requirements

1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 3) - any standard PoE switch port works; alternatively 12VDC input. 2. Storage: micro SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot (sold separately) for edge recording. 3. Mounting: outdoor bullet housing IP66/IK10/NEMA 4X - verify substrate for impact rating; weather-sealed RJ-45 for outdoor positions. 4. Network: ONVIF Profile S/G/T for third-party VMS or Wisenet WAVE / SSM native.

03

App & Setup

1. Discover with Wisenet Toolbox Plus or Device Manager. 2. Set admin password on first login (brute-force prevention enforced), configure H.265 with WiseStream II. 3. Set focal length via motorized varifocal from the network (3.2-10mm range). 4. Enable event rules (motion detection zones, virtual line crossing, tampering, defocus).

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the QNO-7082R

Q.01

How does this compare to the fixed-lens QNO-7010R sibling?

Both are Q-series 4MP outdoor bullets. The QNO-7010R uses a fixed wide lens with shorter IR range — install-and-forget for one framing at a lower price. This QNO-7082R has a 3.2-10mm motorized varifocal with 30m IR — remote framing flexibility and 50% further IR reach. Choose fixed for simple installs; choose varifocal when coverage requirements might change or the site needs longer IR range.
Q.02

How does the 30m IR compare to standard Q-series bullets?

Standard Q-series outdoor bullets typically ship with shorter IR reach. This camera's 30m range extends the reach substantially — meaningful for larger car park perimeters, warehouse frontages, and industrial yard boundaries where shorter-range units leave dark gaps at the far end.
Q.03

What does NEMA 4X classification add beyond IP66?

IP66 covers dust and water jet resistance. NEMA 4X adds corrosion resistance — practical for coastal-adjacent sites (Australia's east coast, WA coast) or industrial deployments (chemical plants, food processing exteriors) where standard aluminum housings pit within a season.
Q.04

What analytics does the camera include?

Motion detection, tampering detection, defocus detection, and virtual line crossing. Q series doesn't include AI object classification — that's a Q-Core or P-series feature.
Q.05

Does the motorized varifocal need PoE+?

No. Standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 3) is sufficient — the motorized varifocal, WDR, and 30m IR all fit within the standard PoE power budget.
Q.06

What VMS platforms does it integrate with?

ONVIF Profile S / G / T — the camera drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) is documented for custom integrations.
Q.07

What's the maximum frame rate at 4MP?

30fps at full 4MP resolution (2560x1440). Unlike the QNO-7010R sibling which caps at a lower frame rate at 4MP, this camera delivers full 30fps — useful for motion-heavy scenes like car park entries, delivery bays, or kerbside traffic.
