Installation & setup

Choose the lens for the scene

Because the lens is fixed, pick 2.8mm, 3.6mm or 6mm to match the scene width at your mounting distance. Confirm coverage before ordering, as it cannot be adjusted later without cropping.

Power over PoE, ePoE or 12V DC

Run PoE (802.3af) over a single cable, use ePoE for longer runs, or provide a 12V DC supply where PoE is unavailable.

Mount on wall, ceiling or eave

The eyeball housing adjusts at the mount for walls, soffits and ceilings. Use a Dahua junction box such as the PFA130-E where surface cabling or clearance is needed.

Pair an AI NVR for AcuPick

To use AcuPick, connect the camera to a compatible Dahua AI NVR so target search runs across recorded video.

No. It uses a fixed-focal lens, available in 2.8mm, 3.6mm or 6mm options, so the field of view is set by the lens you choose and the mounting distance. Work out the scene width you need at the mounting point before ordering, as the view cannot be changed in software without cropping the 4K image.

Does it have two-way audio?
No. It has a built-in microphone for recording on-site audio plus RCA audio in and out for external devices, but no built-in speaker, so it does not provide self-contained two-way talk. Connect an external speaker to the audio output if you need to play audio.

The Dahua datasheet rates this model IP67 for dust and water. The specification does not list an IK impact rating for this model, so we describe it as IP67 weatherproof and do not claim a vandal rating.
