Plan the fixed-lens position
Because the 2.8mm lens is fixed, pick the mounting position and height to match the scene width you need. Confirm coverage before ordering, as it cannot be adjusted later without cropping the image.
Power over PoE, ePoE or 12V DC
Run PoE (802.3af) over a single cable, use ePoE for longer runs, or provide a 12V DC supply where PoE is unavailable.
Mount on wall or eave
Fix the bullet to a wall or eave, using a Dahua junction box such as the PFA130-E with a PFB204W bracket where surface cabling or extra clearance is needed.
