Installation Requirements
1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af, max 10.5 W) or 12V DC (max 9 W). 2. Cable: Cat5e or Cat6, max 100 m. 3. Mounting: Wall or soffit. Camera weighs about 820 g. Use a junction box on hollow surfaces. 4. Height: 2.5–3.5 m recommended for AcuSense accuracy.

How is this different from the DS-2CD2387G2H-LIU (no S)?
The LISU/SL version adds a built-in strobe light and speaker for active deterrence. The LIU model has the mic but no strobe or speaker.
Q.02
Does it stay in colour all night?
It can. In Smart Hybrid Light mode, it uses IR when quiet and switches to warm LED for colour when it detects someone. You can also set it to full-colour all the time.
Q.03
Will it work with older Hikvision NVRs?
Yes, as long as the NVR supports 8 MP channels. Strobe and speaker triggers need event linkage support — most NVRs from 2020 onward have this.

What lens options are available?
2.8 mm (108° wide) or 4 mm (93° horizontal). The 2.8 mm suits most residential and small commercial installs.
Q.05
Is it vandal-proof?
No IK rating on this model. It is IP67 weatherproof but not vandal-rated. For vandal resistance, look at the dome version in the same series.
