What the DH-IPC-HDBW3866RP-ZAS-AUS is

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDBW3866RP-ZAS-AUS is a flagship 8 MP 4K dome for sites that need both fine detail and a view you can adjust.

Its motorised 2.7-13.5 mm varifocal lens lets you set zoom and focus from the software, so you can frame a wide forecourt or zoom in on an entry point without climbing back to the camera.

At 3840 x 2160 it captures the detail needed to read faces and number plates across a large area.

SMD 4.0 classifies human and vehicle targets so motion alarms and perimeter rules focus on real activity, and 120 dB WDR keeps detail against bright backlight.

A 40 m infrared illuminator covers night scenes, and a built-in microphone records audio.

This -ZAS model also adds audio and alarm input and output terminals for integrating an external speaker, sensor or relay.

The housing is IP67 against weather and IK10 against impact.

Two honest notes: the camera has a built-in microphone but no built-in speaker, so by itself it records audio rather than offering two-way talk; you can wire an external speaker to the audio output if you need it.

And in full darkness its infrared images are black-and-white.

Power it from PoE or 12 VDC and record it to a Dahua WizSense NVR.

What's in the box

One DH-IPC-HDBW3866RP-ZAS-AUS 8MP motorised dome camera with mounting template and fixings. The microSD card, power supply or PoE source and any NVR are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall, eave or ceiling over the area to cover and power it from a PoE switch or NVR or a 12 VDC supply. Connect the network, set the motorised zoom and focus, the day and night behaviour and the SMD perimeter rules in the software, and add it to a Dahua NVR for recording and event search. Wire an external speaker to the audio output if you need talk-back.
