The Bosch RF120 SMART RF Base Station gives a Bosch Solution 6000 its 2-way wireless capability. It wires to the panel over an RS485 LAN connection and acts as the gateway between the panel and Bosch RADION wireless sensors and RF110 two-way remote controls, so you can add wireless detectors and keyfobs to a Solution 6000.

It is a 2-way 433.42MHz transceiver with two built-in radio transmitters and receivers and dual-diversity internal antennas, which keeps reception reliable across a site. The 2-way link is encrypted with rolling code and anti-substitution technology for secure communication, and front and rear tamper switches alert the panel to any interference. Status indicator lights (an LED light-pipe) show the base station's state at a glance. More than one RF120 can be installed on a single LAN to build a network of access points and extend wireless coverage over a larger area.

The RF120 suits Bosch Solution 6000 (and Vision-X) panels on firmware v2.30 and higher. It runs on 10 to 14VDC (12VDC nominal) at 70mA max, measures 140 x 40 x 270 mm and is for indoor use (0 to 49 degrees C). It is supplied with the base station receiver, a front and back case with an LED light-pipe and cam lock, and an instruction sheet. On a Solution 3000 the wireless receiver is the B810 instead. It is fitted by a licensed installer.
