§ 01Overview

What the IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I is

The Uniview IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I is the turret to choose when the required framing will only become clear during commissioning. Its motorised lens runs from 2.8 to 12 mm, changing the horizontal field of view from 111.5° to 54.1°. Across those lens endpoints, DORI identify changes from 6.3 m to 27.0 m, while DORI detect changes from 63.0 m to 270.0 m.

The camera records 8MP (3840 × 2160) at 30 fps using a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and F1.2 lens. ColorHunter with Wise ISP supports full-colour night imaging, while the dual illuminator provides 850 nm infrared to 30 m or warm light to 30 m. 130 dB WDR balances scenes containing strongly contrasting bright and dark areas.

The camera's Smart Intrusion Prevention covers cross-line, intrusion, enter-area and leave-area detection, with false-alarm filtering and classification of humans, vehicles and non-motor vehicles. People-flow counting, crowd-density monitoring and object-left or object-removed detection provide additional monitoring choices. Two microphones, a built-in speaker and two-way audio support conversation, while alarm and audio inputs and outputs are available for compatible integrations.

The metal body carries IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X protection and operates from -30 °C to 60 °C with a maximum draw of 7.0 W. The lens position is motorised, but its F1.2 iris is fixed rather than adjustable. The Australian warranty period is 36 Months.

What the IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

8MP Ultra HD

8MP (4K) resolution captures four times the detail of 1080p.
Even when a person or car is far down the driveway, you can zoom in and still recognise a face or read a number plate — detail that lower-resolution cameras lose.

Full Color Night Vision

Unlike plain black-and-white night vision, this camera can capture colour after dark — so you can pick out the actual colour of a car, a jacket or a bag, detail that grey infrared footage loses.

Dual-Light Night Vision

Combines infrared with a warm spotlight so it can light a scene in colour at night rather than relying on black-and-white alone — clearer, more useful footage when there's something to see.

30m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared lets the camera see in complete darkness up to around 30m — enough for a typical driveway, front yard or entrance. People and vehicles stay clear in black-and-white, brighter the closer they are.

Human/Vehicle Detection

Smart detection focuses on people and vehicles and can ignore things like swaying branches, rain or small animals — helping cut down false alerts and making the right moments easier to find.

False Alarm Reduction

Filtering helps separate real activity from harmless movement like rain, leaves or pets, so you get fewer pointless notifications and the alerts that matter stand out.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

Two-Way Audio

Talk and listen in real time through the app — tell a courier where to leave a parcel, or speak to someone at the gate, whether you're home or away.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I

Choose broad or tighter framing

The Uniview IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I combines a 2.8 to 12 mm motorised lens with a horizontal field of view adjustable from 111.5° to 54.1°. The same lens covers this range without choosing a different fixed focal length.

Plan for greater reach

DORI identify changes from 6.3 m at 2.8 mm to 27.0 m at 12.0 mm, while DORI detect changes from 63.0 m to 270.0 m. Those categories make it easier to compare candidate mounting positions and lens settings.

Choose colour or discreet IR at night

ColorHunter with Wise ISP holds colour down to 0.0005 lux. Dual-light illumination provides 850 nm infrared to 30 m or warm light to 30 m, with automatic or manual light control.

Focus alarms on defined targets

Smart Intrusion Prevention classifies humans, vehicles and non-motor vehicles while supporting false-alarm filtering. Cross-line, intrusion, enter-area and leave-area rules let the installer define the activity that matters.

Hear and speak through the camera

Two microphones, a built-in speaker and two-way audio support conversation through a compatible client. Separate audio and alarm inputs and outputs remain available for compatible integrations.

Protection for exposed positions

The metal housing combines IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X protection with operation from -30 °C to 60 °C and 4 KV surge protection. Those ratings provide several layers of protection for demanding outdoor placements.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Long driveway entrance

Mount the Uniview IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I where the driveway enters a defined monitoring zone and use the 12.0 mm setting for a 54.1° horizontal view. DORI identify at 27.0 m and DORI detect at 270.0 m help guide placement without guaranteeing a particular subject outcome.

Yard access point

Use the 2.8 mm setting and its 111.5° horizontal field to monitor one defined approach rather than expecting one camera to cover an entire yard. The motorised lens can then be narrowed towards the gate or path that needs more concentrated framing.

Loading bay or side entrance

Object-left and object-removed detection can monitor a defined bay, while Smart Intrusion Prevention places a line or area rule across the entrance. The built-in speaker and microphones also let staff communicate through a compatible client.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

Package contents check

Open the carton and confirm the Uniview IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I model label, camera body, cable tail and every other received item against the order confirmation before discarding the packaging. Check for transit damage. Compatible mounting accessories sold separately include the TR-JB03-H-IN junction box, TR-WM03-B-IN wall bracket, TR-SE24-IN pendant mounting pole, TR-CM24-IN pendant bracket and TR-UP06-IN pole bracket.

02

Cabling

Run one network cable per camera back to the recorder or PoE switch, and keep each run within the maximum supported by that equipment. Measure the actual route before ordering cable. Protect the tail-cable junction inside a waterproof junction box, pole chamber or conduit, and plan separate connections if the audio or alarm I/O will be used.

03

Power

PoE (IEEE 802.3af) carries power and data through the network connection with a maximum draw of 7.0 W. The alternative input is DC 12 V±25%.

04

Recorder and monitor

For central recording, place a compatible recorder where it can connect to the router and fit a hard drive sized for the recording plan. A monitor connected to the recorder makes initial configuration easier, while standalone recording can use a Micro SD card up to 512 GB.

05

App and network setup

Supported clients include UNV-Link, UNV-Link Pro and EZStation. For EZCloud enrolment, connect the camera or recorder to the router in the same network segment, enable EZCloud and scan the displayed code in EZView.

06

When you need an electrician

Use a licensed electrician for a new mains power point or any other mains-voltage work. A PoE connection to existing compatible equipment avoids needing a separate power point beside the camera.

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I

Q.01

Does the Uniview IPC3638SE-ADZKMC-WP-I record in colour at night?

Yes. ColorHunter with Wise ISP supports full-colour imaging, with a minimum illumination of 0.0005 lux and warm-light illumination to 30 m. It can also use 850 nm infrared to 30 m, while Day/Night mode can operate automatically or be fixed to colour or black and white.
Q.02

How does the motorised lens change the view?

The lens moves from 2.8 to 12 mm, changing its horizontal field of view from 111.5° to 54.1°. Across those settings, DORI identify changes from 6.3 m to 27.0 m and DORI detect changes from 63.0 m to 270.0 m. These are standard DORI categories rather than guaranteed face or person outcomes.
Q.03

Can I talk through the camera?

It supports two-way audio through two built-in microphones and a built-in speaker. A compatible client can be used to hear and speak through it, while external audio input and output remain available.
Q.04

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes, provided the chosen recorder has spare compatible channels and sufficient PoE capacity. Choose the recorder around the total number of cameras expected at the finished site, because the recorder sets the expansion limit.
Q.05

Will it work with a non-Uniview recorder?

It supports ONVIF Profile S, Profile G, Profile T and Profile M for compatible third-party systems. Both devices must support a common protocol, and setup uses the camera's network address and login. If it connects without live video, changing compression to H.264, disabling U-code or adjusting RTSP authentication can help.
Q.06

How is it powered, and what should I check if it will not start?

It uses PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or DC 12 V±25%, with a maximum draw of 7.0 W. For PoE, one network cable carries data and power between the camera and compatible equipment. If it will not start, cross-test the cable and power source with known-good equipment.
Q.07

Can it record without a recorder?

Yes, it supports a Micro SD card up to 512 GB for local video and snapshots. NAS is available for network storage, while ANR can use card storage when communication with central storage is interrupted. Cached video can transfer back after communication is restored.
Q.08

Is it suitable for exposed outdoor installation?

The metal housing is rated IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X and operates from -30 °C to 60 °C at Humidity: ≤ 95% RH (non-condensing). Keep the tail-cable junction inside a waterproof junction box, pole chamber or conduit rather than leaving it exposed. Do not install a waterproof junction box horizontally where water can pool.
Q.09

What is the Australian warranty period?

The Australian warranty period is 36 Months. Keep the purchase record and product identification available for a warranty request.
