§ 01Overview
What the S345-4G is
The TP-Link VIGI InSight S345-4G is a 4MP outdoor bullet camera built for sites that have no wired internet, such as farms, construction sites, building sites and remote yards.
Instead of a network cable, it uses a 4G LTE Nano SIM to send video and alerts over the mobile network, and it is powered by 12V DC, so it can run from a VIGI solar power system (such as the SP6030 or SP9030) where no mains supply is available.
It records 4MP (2688 x 1520) video through a 4mm fixed lens, and uses VIGI LightPro night vision: white LEDs rated to 30 m hold full colour after dark, while IR reaches up to 50 m, and the camera switches between them automatically when it detects a person or vehicle, so it saves power and cuts light spill the rest of the time.
AI human and vehicle classification keeps alerts to real targets rather than swaying trees or rain, and two-way audio plus white-light flashing add active deterrence.
An unusual feature is the set of three 10/100M LAN ports, which let you daisy-chain other devices at the same remote location.
The S345-4G has an IP66 weatherproof metal housing for harsh outdoor conditions and records to a microSD card up to 512GB, useful when a constant 4G upload is not wanted.
It is managed through the VIGI app and works with VIGI NVRs and VIGI Cloud.
It is normally installed by a security or cabling technician, who also fits the SIM and solar or 12V DC power.

What it is
A 4MP 4G LTE full-colour bullet camera for outdoor use, powered by 12V DC and designed to run from a VIGI solar kit.
Power

Connectivity
Fit an active data Nano SIM with enough plan allowance for video, or use the LAN ports where a local network exists.
Setup
In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician, who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the camera and adds it to the NVR or VIGI app. Add the camera to the VIGI app, fit the SIM and microSD card, then set detection zones and night-vision mode.
