What the Insight S345ZI is

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S345ZI is a 4MP motorised varifocal bullet camera built for jobs where the field of view has to be dialled in exactly.

Its 2.7-13.5mm lens gives a 5x optical zoom that you adjust remotely in the VIGI app or NVR, from a wide 102-degree view down to a narrow long-range shot, with motorised focus to match.

That makes one camera suit a wide forecourt or a tight, distant target such as a gate at the end of a driveway.

It records 4MP (2688 x 1520) video on a 1/2.9-inch sensor, with 120dB true wide dynamic range to balance bright and shadowed areas, and a powerful IR illuminator for night vision up to 60 m.

Because it is an IR camera, night footage is black-and-white.

AI human and vehicle classification reduces false alarms, and smart events include intrusion, line-crossing and loitering detection.

The camera has a built-in microphone, and an audio-out line lets you add an external speaker for talk-back.

The S345ZI has an IP67 weatherproof, IK10 vandal-resistant metal housing and runs on PoE (802.3af/at) or 12V DC.

It records to a microSD card up to 512GB and works with VIGI NVRs and the VIGI app, or with third-party recorders over ONVIF (Profile S/T/G) and RTSP.

It is normally fitted by a security or cabling technician.
