The Hikvision DS-2CD2067G2H-LIU/SL is a 6MP ColorVu mini bullet with Smart Hybrid Light, a compact version of Hikvision's hybrid-light range for homes and small businesses that want colour at night from a discreet camera.

It runs infrared by default for low-key monitoring and automatically switches to warm white light when AI detects a person or vehicle, capturing clothing and vehicle colour in full colour up to 40 metres.

IR-only, white-only and smart-auto modes are all selectable.

An F1.0 ColorVu lens and 130dB true WDR keep detail in high-contrast light such as a backlit entry or a driveway lit by headlights.

Deep-learning human and vehicle detection trims false alarms from animals and moving foliage, and the LiveGuard strobe light and audio alarm can be linked to intrusion or line-crossing events to actively warn off an intruder.

Two-way audio through dual microphones and a built-in speaker lets you listen and respond from your phone.

The camera records 6MP through a 2.8mm or 4mm lens (note your choice in the order comments), takes a microSD card up to 512GB, and carries an IP67 anti-corrosion rating for outdoor mounting.

It runs over PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC and works with Hikvision AcuSense NVRs and Hik-Connect.

What it is

Power and cabling

Run one Cat5e/6 cable and power it over PoE (802.3af) from a PoE switch or NVR, or use 12V DC where PoE is not available.

Setup

In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician, who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the camera and adds it to the NVR or app. Add it in Hik-Connect or your NVR, then set human/vehicle zones and link the strobe and audio to chosen events.
