§ 01Overview

What the DS-2CD2T66G2-2I is

This Hikvision 6 MP 4-channel kit is a two-camera EXIR bullet system for a home or small business, supplied ready to record.

It pairs two DS-2CD2T66G2-2I AcuSense bullet cameras with a four-channel DS-7604NI-I1/4P PoE NVR — no hard drive is included (add one below to enable recording) — and each camera connects on a single network cable and the recorder is set up to capture both channels.

Because the recorder has four channels and the kit uses two, there are two spare channels to add cameras later.

The cameras suit longer outdoor runs.

Each is a 6 MP bullet with powerful EXIR infrared reaching about 60 metres, so it looks down driveways, fences and car parks further than a typical turret at night.

DarkFighter low-light imaging keeps pictures cleaner in dim conditions, AcuSense deep learning classifies human and vehicle targets so alerts and searches ignore rain, shadows and animals, and a 120 dB wide dynamic range holds detail against bright backlight.

The metal bullet body is IP67 weatherproof with an integrated sun shield for exposed walls and poles.

A couple of honest notes so it is set up correctly.

At night these are infrared cameras reaching about 60 metres, so the picture is black and white, not full colour; DarkFighter improves low-light quality but this is not a white-light ColorVu kit.

No hard drive is included with this kit — a hard drive is required for recording.

Add one to your order below.

H.265+ compression keeps storage efficient, and a larger drive can be fitted for longer retention.

What the DS-2CD2T66G2-2I features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

6MP Ultra HD

6MP captures around three times the detail of 1080p. Plenty of resolution to zoom into a face or number plate part-way down the driveway and still read it clearly.

60m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared sees in total darkness up to around 60m, covering long driveways and large properties. Even well away from the house, people and vehicles remain clear in black-and-white.

False Alarm Reduction

Filtering helps separate real activity from harmless movement like rain, leaves or pets, so you get fewer pointless notifications and the alerts that matter stand out.

Human/Vehicle Detection

Smart detection focuses on people and vehicles and can ignore things like swaying branches, rain or small animals — helping cut down false alerts and making the right moments easier to find.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-2CD2T66G2-2I

Long-range night coverage

60 metre EXIR infrared on bullet cameras reaches down driveways, fences and car parks further than most turret kits.

Room to grow

Two 6 MP cameras and a four-channel PoE NVR arrive set up with two spare channels for later expansion — no HDD included, add a hard drive below to enable recording.

Fewer false alarms

AcuSense human and vehicle classification keeps alerts and searches focused on people and vehicles, not weather or animals.

Built for exposed runs

IP67 metal bullets with an integrated sun shield handle outdoor walls and poles in sun, rain and dust.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Homes with long approaches

Watch a driveway and a back fence with two long-range 6 MP cameras, and add more on the spare channels later.

Small business perimeters

Cover a yard, car park or loading area where cameras need to see a long way at night.

Rural and acreage

Long infrared reach suits gates, sheds and fence lines set back from the house.

Starter system to grow

Begin with two cameras on a four-channel recorder and expand to four as the property's needs change.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

In the box

Two DS-2CD2T66G2-2I bullet cameras, the DS-7604NI-I1/4P NVR (no HDD included — add a hard drive to enable recording), power supply and mounting accessories. Connect a monitor for local viewing.

02

Cabling

Run one network cable from each camera to a PoE port on the NVR. Standard Ethernet runs apply, and a PoE switch can extend reach for a distant camera.

03

Mounting

Fix each bullet high on a wall or pole aimed along the run you want covered, within the roughly 60 metre infrared range, using the sun shield against glare and rain.

04

Setup

Connect the NVR to a screen and the network, add the cameras on the plug-and-play PoE ports, set the AcuSense human and vehicle rules and recording schedule, and set up remote viewing in the Hik-Connect app.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-2CD2T66G2-2I

Q.01

Is the kit ready to record out of the box?

Yes. It includes the two 6 MP AcuSense EXIR bullet cameras and the four-channel DS-7604NI-I1/4P PoE NVR — no hard drive is included (add one below to enable recording) — and each camera connects on one network cable and the recorder captures both channels. Add a screen or use the Hik-Connect app to view live and recorded footage.
Q.02

Does this kit include a hard drive?

No — a hard drive is not included with this kit. A hard drive is required for recording; add one to your order below.
Q.03

Why bullet cameras with 60 metre infrared?

Bullet cameras suit longer outdoor runs such as driveways, fences and car parks, and the 60 metre EXIR infrared on these cameras reaches further at night than a typical turret. That makes the kit a good fit for properties where cameras look down long approaches or across a yard.
Q.04

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The recorder is a four-channel NVR and the kit uses two channels, so there are two spare PoE ports and channels for more cameras. Beyond four cameras you would step up to a larger recorder, such as an eight-channel NVR, and add a PoE switch for the extra ports.
Q.05

Do these cameras film in colour at night?

Not in the dark. They use DarkFighter low-light imaging for cleaner pictures in dim light, but at night they rely on 60 metre infrared, so the image is black and white. For full-colour footage all night you would choose a ColorVu kit with white-light cameras.
Q.06

What does AcuSense do for me?

AcuSense uses on-camera deep learning to classify human and vehicle targets and ignore other movement such as rain, leaves or animals. The system alerts you to what matters, cuts false alarms, and lets you search recordings by human or vehicle events instead of scrubbing through hours of footage.
Q.07

Are the cameras built for Australian weather?

Yes. The bullet cameras are IP67 rated against dust and water in a metal body with an integrated sun shield, so they handle sun, rain and dust on exposed walls and poles, with 60 metre infrared for long-range night coverage.
Q.08

Is two cameras enough, or should I start bigger?

Two cameras suit a focused setup such as a front and back, or a driveway and entry. Because the recorder has four channels with two to spare, this kit is also a tidy starting point you can grow, adding cameras on the spare channels as your needs expand without replacing the recorder.
