§ 01Overview

What the DH-IPC-HDW5631RP-ZE-27135 is

The Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5631RP-ZE-27135 is a 6MP motorised IP turret from the Eco-Savvy range, built for positions that need a remotely adjustable field of view and strong low-light performance.

A 2.7-13.5mm motorised lens with 5x optical zoom lets installers set the framing from the recorder after mounting, moving from a wide scene to a tighter view without returning to the camera.

A 1/2.9-inch 6MP sensor with WDR captures detail in both bright and dim conditions.

Smart IR reaches up to 50m for night coverage, a built-in microphone records on-site audio, and Smart H.265 dual-stream encoding keeps bandwidth and storage down.

IVS analytics support tripwire, intrusion and face detection for rule-based alerting.

The IP67 and IK10 metal housing suits exposed and semi-public positions, and ePoE support allows longer cable runs than standard PoE, which helps on larger sites; it also runs on 12V DC or standard PoE (802.3af).

What the DH-IPC-HDW5631RP-ZE-27135 features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

6MP Ultra HD

6MP captures around three times the detail of 1080p. Plenty of resolution to zoom into a face or number plate part-way down the driveway and still read it clearly.

50m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared sees in total darkness up to around 50m — good for longer driveways, car parks and wider properties. People and vehicles stay visible well beyond the reach of a porch light.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DH-IPC-HDW5631RP-ZE-27135

Frame it remotely

A motorised 2.7-13.5mm lens with 5x optical zoom lets you set the field of view from the recorder, ideal for high or awkward positions.

Strong low-light detail

A 6MP STARVIS sensor with Starlight imaging and WDR holds detail in dim and high-contrast scenes.

Longer cable runs

ePoE support extends power and data beyond the standard PoE distance, helping on larger sites with long runs.

Built for exposed positions

An IP67 and IK10 metal housing handles weather and impact on walls, eaves and semi-public frontages.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Variable or distant scenes

The motorised 5x zoom frames car parks, yards and approaches precisely and can be reframed from the desk as needs change.

Commercial frontages

Strong low-light detail and a remotely adjustable lens suit shopfronts, forecourts and entries that need a tailored view.

Semi-public positions

An IK10 housing suits walkways and entries where the camera may be within reach and impact resistance matters.

Larger sites with long runs

ePoE support keeps a single-cable install practical where the camera is a long distance from the recorder.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

Power over ePoE, PoE or 12V DC

Use ePoE with a compatible recorder for long runs, standard PoE (802.3af) for typical distances, or a 12V DC supply where PoE is not available.

02

Mount on wall, eave or ceiling

Fix the turret to a wall, eave or ceiling, using a Dahua junction box such as the PFA137 where surface cabling or extra clearance is needed.

03

Set the lens from the recorder

After mounting, set the motorised 2.7-13.5mm zoom and focus from the NVR or app to frame the scene without returning to the camera.

04

Set IVS rules

Configure tripwire, intrusion and face detection so the camera raises alerts on movement across defined zones.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DH-IPC-HDW5631RP-ZE-27135

Q.01

Can I adjust the lens after mounting?

Yes. The 2.7-13.5mm lens is motorised with 5x optical zoom, so you set the zoom and focus remotely from the recorder or app rather than at the camera. This makes it easy to frame a scene precisely on a tall or awkward position and to reframe later as needs change.
Q.02

How far does the night vision reach?

Smart IR reaches up to 50m, with intensity control that adjusts for closer subjects to avoid overexposure. Combined with the Starlight sensor, it keeps driveways, car parks and entries usable in complete darkness.
Q.03

What smart detection does it have?

It runs IVS analytics including tripwire, intrusion, abandoned and missing object, and face detection, for rule-based alerting on defined zones. It does not provide the SMD human and vehicle classification of the WizSense range, so for human and vehicle filtering choose a WizSense camera such as the HDW3641 series.
Q.04

Does it record audio?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone that records on-site audio with the video. There is no built-in speaker, so it captures sound one way and does not provide two-way talk.
Q.05

What is ePoE and why does it help?

ePoE extends the distance power and data can travel over a single cable beyond the roughly 100m limit of standard PoE, using a compatible ePoE NVR or switch. This helps on larger sites where the camera is a long run from the recorder. It also runs on standard PoE (802.3af) or 12V DC.
Q.06

Is it impact resistant?

Yes. The metal housing is IP67 against dust and water and IK10 against impact, the highest mechanical impact grade, suiting exposed and semi-public positions where the camera may be within reach.
Q.07

Does it save on storage?

Yes. Smart H.265 dual-stream encoding reduces bandwidth and storage compared with H.264, so you keep more recording history on the same drive. It also supports a microSD card for edge recording or failover.
Q.08

What recorder works best with it?

Pair it with a Dahua NVR sized for 6MP, ideally one supporting ePoE if you need longer cable runs, with a surveillance hard drive for continuous recording. It also runs as a standard ONVIF camera on third-party recorders.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Recorders and storage

Record to a Dahua NVR such as the 16-channel NVR4216-16P or NVR5216-16P, fitted with a 6TB surveillance hard drive; choose an ePoE-capable NVR for long cable runs.

03

Mounting

For surface cabling or extra clearance, add a Dahua PFA137 junction box; confirm it suits this turret before ordering.
