§ 01Overview

What the DH-IPC-EB5541-AS is

The Dahua IPC-EB5541-AS is a 5MP WizMind fisheye (panoramic) camera that sees a complete 180° x 180° hemisphere from one overhead position.

Mounted on a ceiling it gives a 360° top-down view of a whole room or forecourt; on a wall it gives a 180° panorama of an entry or corridor.

That single-lens coverage lets one camera do the work of several fixed units and removes the blind spots between them.

The camera dewarps the circular fisheye image into flat panoramic or quad views in a compatible NVR or the DMSS app, so footage is easy to review.

WizMind analytics run on the 5MP image for people counting, heat mapping, queue insight, line crossing and intrusion, which suits retail and workplace monitoring as much as security.

A 1/2.7" sensor with 120dB WDR and Starlight-class processing holds detail in bright doorways and dim interiors alike.

Note that this model has no built-in infrared, so in total darkness it needs some ambient or added lighting to keep a usable image; it is not a dark-yard IR camera.

It is IK10 vandal-resistant and IP67-rated for indoor or sheltered outdoor positions, and runs on standard PoE (802.3af) or an optional 12V supply.

Mount it centrally and as high as the detail you need allows, using a ceiling, wall or pole bracket.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DH-IPC-EB5541-AS

One camera, no blind spots

A single 180° x 180° lens covers a whole room or forecourt, replacing several fixed cameras and the gaps between them.

Business insight, not just security

WizMind people counting, heat mapping and queue insight turn the footage into useful data for retail and workplaces.

Tough where people reach it

An IK10 vandal-rated and IP67 housing suits foyers, shops and covered outdoor areas exposed to knocks and weather.

Simple single-cable install

One PoE drop powers and connects the camera, and the NVR or app dewarps the view into flat panoramas.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Retail floors and showrooms

Cover a whole shop from one ceiling point, with people counting and heat maps showing how customers move and dwell.

Offices and reception areas

A single overhead camera watches an open-plan floor or lobby end to end with no missed corners.

Warehouses and workshops

Top-down coverage of aisles and work zones helps with safety and incident review across a wide area.

Covered entries and forecourts

Wall-mounted, the 180° view covers a wide entrance or undercover car park where ambient light is present at night.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

Choose the mode

Ceiling mount for a 360° top-down view, or wall mount for a 180° panorama; pick the position central to the area you want covered.

02

Mind the light

There is no built-in IR, so make sure the area has ambient or added lighting if you need a usable image after dark.

03

Mount and cable

Fix it with a ceiling plate, the PFB203W wall bracket or a pole mount, and run one Cat5e/6 PoE cable back to the recorder.

04

Set up dewarping

In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the unit and adds it to the NVR or app. Add it to a Dahua NVR or DMSS, then choose the panoramic or quad dewarp layout and set people-counting or heat-map rules.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DH-IPC-EB5541-AS

Q.01

How much area does one fisheye cover?

Mounted on a ceiling it gives a full 360-degree top-down view of a room or open area; on a wall it gives a 180-degree panorama. One unit typically replaces three or four fixed cameras.
Q.02

Does it have infrared for night vision?

No. This model has no built-in IR illuminator, so it needs ambient or added lighting to keep a usable image in full darkness. It is best used in lit indoor or covered areas.
Q.03

How is the curved image viewed?

A compatible Dahua NVR or the DMSS app dewarps the circular image into flat panoramic or quad views, so the footage looks like normal rectangular video.
Q.04

What mounting height should I use?

Mount it centrally and as high as the ceiling allows for the widest coverage, but lower if you need more detail on faces directly below. There is a trade-off between coverage and pixel density.
Q.05

Can it count people or show heat maps?

Yes. WizMind analytics include people counting, heat mapping, queue insight, line crossing and intrusion, which is useful for retail and workplace planning as well as security.
Q.06

Is it vandal and weather resistant?

Yes. It is IK10 vandal-rated and IP67 weatherproof, so it suits foyers, shops and covered outdoor positions. For fully exposed outdoor night coverage choose an IR camera instead.
Q.07

How is it powered and cabled?

It runs on one Cat5e/6 cable using standard PoE (802.3af), or an optional 12V DC supply. No separate power run is needed when using PoE.
Q.08

Will it work with a third-party NVR?

It supports ONVIF, so it records on most recorders, but fisheye dewarping and the WizMind analytics work best on a compatible Dahua NVR.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Record and dewarp it

Use a Dahua NVR such as the NVR4108HS-8P or NVR5208-8P that supports fisheye dewarping and WizMind analytics.

02

Add storage

Fit a surveillance-grade 2TB or 6TB drive for continuous panoramic recording.

03

Mount it right

Add the PFB203W wall bracket or the PFB2205W-E pendant/pole mount to position it centrally.

04

Cover the dark corners

Pair it with an IR turret such as the HDW3867EM-S-IL where you also need night detail in unlit areas.
