What the IPCT361HMU is

This HiLook 6-camera kit uses the 6MP IPC-T361H-MU AcuSense turret on the 8-channel NVR-108MH-C/8P recorder, covering more of a property than a four-camera system while leaving two channels spare.

It suits a larger home or a small commercial site that wants clear, intelligent coverage on every approach, all on a single recorder.

AcuSense deep-learning detection classifies people and vehicles and filters out animals, foliage and rain, so the alerts you receive are meaningful across six cameras.

Each camera sees up to 30 metres in the dark with dual infrared (black-and-white at night), records audio through a built-in microphone, and uses 120dB WDR for bright backlight.

Choose a 2.8mm wide or 4mm narrow lens, white or black, per camera.

The 8-channel NVR-108MH-C/8P powers and connects each camera on a single PoE cable, with six used and two spare for later.

It outputs 4K over HDMI with independent VGA, accepts cameras up to 8MP, and has one SATA bay - the kit ships without a hard drive, so add a surveillance-grade drive sized for six cameras.

The free HiLookVision app gives local and remote viewing, and the IP67 metal cameras suit Australian outdoor conditions.

Installation & setup

What's in the box

6 x HiLook turret cameras, 1 x HiLook NVR-108MH-C/8P 8CH PoE NVR, mounting screw packs and quick start guides. The NVR has a single SATA bay (surveillance-grade hard drive sold separately).

Cabling and power

Each camera runs on one Cat5e/6 cable to a PoE port on the NVR (up to about 100m), so there are no separate plug packs at the cameras. Mount each unit on a solid wall or eave with a clear view of the area.

Add a hard drive first

Fit a surveillance-grade hard drive into the NVR's SATA bay before recording - the kit ships without a drive. Choose the capacity for how many days of footage you want to keep.

Set up and view

In Australia these kits are commonly installed by a licensed security installer or a competent DIY owner: run a single Cat5e/6 cable from each camera to a PoE port on the recorder, mount the cameras, then run the on-screen wizard.
