The Hikvision DS-2XM6726G1-ID is a 2 MP mobile network dome camera built for the inside of moving vehicles, such as buses, trains, coaches and emergency vehicles.
The low-profile metal dome is discreet and tough, rated IP67 against dust and water and IK10 against impact and tampering, so it keeps working through constant vibration and the rough handling of public transport.
A 1/2.8" sensor records 1080p video, and 120 dB true Wide Dynamic Range balances a bright window or door against a darker cabin so faces stay clear.
Lens choice is the key decision.
The dome is available with a 2 mm ultra-wide lens that takes in about 132 degrees for a whole cabin from one mount, or 2.8, 4 and 6 mm options for a more focused view of a doorway, aisle or cab.Infrared night vision reaches up to 30 metres for darkened cabins and night routes, and the image is black and white under infrared, as with any IR camera.
H.265+ compression keeps recording efficient on a mobile NVR, and a built-in micro SD slot up to 256 GB adds local backup.
A built-in microphone also captures audio alongside the video.
