The Hikvision DS-2DF8C842IXG1-ELWY is the all-rounder at the top of this PTZ range: an 8 MP, 4K DarkFighter speed dome that pairs high resolution with a 42x optical zoom and infrared all the way to 500 m.
A large 1/1.2" sensor records 3840 x 2160 video, so you keep 4K detail at long zoom and can identify a face or a number plate far across a large site, while the infrared lights the scene up to 500 m in complete darkness, with Smart IR dimming close objects.
The night image under infrared is black and white, as expected for an IR camera; by day, DarkFighter and 140 dB Wide Dynamic Range keep colour and detail in harsh light.
On-camera deep learning is the key feature.
It classifies people and vehicles, so the perimeter rules, line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and exit, alarm on real targets and ignore weather and animals, and auto-tracking 3.0 locks onto a person or a vehicle and follows it across the scene.
Face capture and vehicle recognition add detail to an event, and optical image stabilisation steadies the picture at full zoom where the smallest vibration is magnified.
300 presets with patrol and pattern scans automate a tour of fixed views, and the 360-degree pan with smart pan-tilt correction covers every direction accurately.
