The Hikvision DS-2DE4225IW-DE is a 2 MP speed dome that covers a wide area - a yard, car park, road or perimeter - from one moving camera instead of several fixed ones.
A motorised 4.8-120 mm lens gives 25x optical zoom, so you can pull a distant subject in close without losing resolution, and a full 360° endless pan with -15° to 90° tilt lets you steer or auto-patrol the view across the whole scene.
It is built for low light.
Powered-by-DarkFighter technology keeps dusk and pre-dawn images clean before the infrared comes on, and when it is fully dark the IR reaches up to 100 m for long-range night coverage.
120 dB WDR holds detail against headlights and bright backgrounds, and AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets - and capture up to five faces - so alarms and smart events stay focused on real activity.
It stores 300 presets plus patrol and pattern scans for automated tours.

This is an infrared PTZ, not a ColorVu camera, so its night images are black-and-white rather than full colour.
And it provides audio through line-in and line-out terminals rather than a built-in microphone or speaker, so plan an external audio device if you need sound.

One DS-2DE4225IW-DE 2MP IR PTZ with mounting hardware and documentation. The wall or pendant bracket, PoE+ switch or 12 VDC supply, network cable and any NVR are supplied separately.
Installation requirements
Mount it on a suitable PTZ bracket on a wall, pole or pendant that can carry around 2 kg, and supply it from PoE+ (802.3at) or a 12 VDC source rated for up to 18 W. Connect the network, set the presets, patrols, AcuSense rules and zoom, and add it to a Hikvision NVR that supports PTZ control for recording and event search.
