01Overview

What the XNP-C8303RW is

The Hanwha XNP-C8303RW is a 6MP AI PTZ on Wisenet7, purpose-built for exposed continuous outdoor deployment across industrial sites, transport hubs, city precincts, and large commercial properties.

A 30x optical zoom lens spans 5-150mm — extended reach over the 25x XNP-C8253R sibling matters when identification-grade detail is required at airport apron or highway-adjacent distances.

Integrated 200m IR extends usable coverage into complete darkness.

The built-in wiper and lens heater actively clear rain, snow, and heavy dust from the lens element — the practical enabler for 24/7 unattended exposed operation where manual lens cleaning is impractical or dangerous.

AI onboard supports person, vehicle, face, and licence plate detection with intelligent auto-tracking and target lock, so operator staffing on central monitoring stations covers more cameras.

Housing is IP66 + IK10 + NEMA4X for long-term outdoor deployment across coastal humidity and industrial-chemical exposure.

Full 360° endless pan with -20° to 90° tilt gives near-hemispheric coverage from a single mounting position.

For 4K identification detail, the XNP-C9303RW is the sibling alternative.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the XNP-C8303RW

30x Zoom Extends Identification Reach

5-150mm covers wide monitoring at 5mm through to identification-grade close-up at 150mm — materially extended reach over the 25x XNP-C8253R sibling for airport aprons and long-range perimeter identification.

Wiper + Heater = 24/7 Unattended Operation

Automatic rain/snow/dust clearance and lens heating make this PTZ appropriate for exposed 24/7 monitored sites where manual lens cleaning is impractical — critical infrastructure, industrial yards, transport hubs.

AI Auto-Tracking on 6MP

Face + plate + person + vehicle classification with auto-tracking on 6MP resolution — meaningful identification detail at distance with minimal operator input.

Full Environmental Spec

IP66 + IK10 + NEMA4X plus lens heater covers Australian coastal, industrial-chemical, and cold-climate deployments without commissioning-time compromises.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Industrial Site 24/7 Perimeters

Wiper + heater + long-range IR + AI classification support unattended monitoring of large industrial site perimeters through weather cycles — practical for chemical plants, refineries, and mining operations.

Transport Hub Aprons and Runways

30x zoom + 200m IR + AI auto-tracking enable identification-grade coverage of airport aprons, train station platforms, and bus interchange perimeters from single mounts.

City Centre Precincts

360° pan + wiper + AI support 24/7 monitoring of public precincts across weather cycles; face/plate detection supports post-event evidence workflows on public disturbance incidents.

Large Commercial Property and Campus Boundaries

Extended zoom reach covers what fixed cameras miss on large corporate campuses and shopping centre precincts; auto-tracking reduces operator staffing needs on centralised monitoring stations.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the XNP-C8303RW

Q.01

Q: How is this different from the XNP-C8253R sibling?
A: The C8303RW adds two things over the base C8253R: (1) 30x optical zoom instead of 25x — extended identification reach; (2) built-in wiper and lens heater — enables 24/7 unattended exposed operation. Pick C8303RW for critical infrastructure and long-range perimeter; C8253R suffices when 25x zoom is enough and site has manual lens-cleaning access.
Q.02

Q: How much further does 30x reach than 25x?
A: 5-150mm vs 5-125mm — the extra 25mm at the tele end materially extends identification-grade reach. Practical: on 6MP, 150mm frames a person at ~120m as a recognisable subject where 125mm on the C8253R starts losing definition.
Q.03

Q: What does the wiper do?
A: Actively clears rain, dust, snow, and condensation from the lens element without manual intervention. Can be triggered manually via web viewer or configured to auto-activate on rain detection.
Q.04

Q: What AI events does the camera detect?
A: Person, vehicle, face, and licence plate detection and classification, plus intelligent auto-tracking and target lock. Configure through web viewer or Wisenet WAVE.
Q.05

Q: What's the pan/tilt range?
A: 360° endless pan (no stops), -20° to 90° tilt. Combined with 30x optical zoom, the PTZ covers almost all of its surroundings from a single mounting position.
Q.06

Q: What operating conditions does the housing handle?
A: IP66 (water jets), IK10 (impact), NEMA4X (corrosion), plus lens heater for cold/humid conditions and wiper for rain/dust. Full-spec outdoor deployment.
Q.07

Q: What IR range?
A: Up to 200m — appropriate for airport apron perimeters, long fence-lines, and industrial site boundaries where standard 40m IR falls short.
Q.08

Q: Can this integrate with third-party VMS?
A: Yes — supports ONVIF PTZ profile for standard integration. For AI-specific event forwarding into VMS alarm workflows, test event delivery to your recorder before large rollouts.
