01Overview

What the XNV-6123R is

The Hanwha XNV-6123R sits at the top of Hanwha's XNV vandal dome range — the X-Plus platform, one tier above X-Core.

Built around a 12x motorised varifocal lens spanning 5.2-62.4mm, one dome frames wide facade sweep down to identification-grade close-up on distant approaches without physical repositioning.

WiseIR reaches 90m — materially further than the 40m WiseIR standard on X-Core — enabling long-approach coverage after dark from a single mount.

On-device AI covers people, faces, vehicles, and licence plates with behavioural event detection (intrusion, loitering, direction).

Extreme WDR at 150dB handles high-contrast outdoor lighting, and frame rates hit 120fps with WDR off (or 60fps with WDR active), meaning fast-moving scene activity stays sharp.

Housing environmental spec is the peak of Hanwha's range: IP66 + IP67 covering water jets and immersion, IP6K9K rating for pressure-wash environments, IK10+ enhanced impact resistance, plus NEMA4X corrosion.

Requires PoE+ (802.3at) — verify switch or injector class compliance before commissioning.

The XNV-6123R shares X-Plus internals with the XNO-6123R bullet sibling; the vandal dome housing is the right choice when the camera should be less visually obtrusive than a wall-mounted bullet.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the XNV-6123R

X-Plus Top-Tier Platform

Above X-Core in the Hanwha range — richer AI feature set, Extreme WDR 150dB, longer IR reach, higher zoom range. Priced at a material premium; justified when identification-grade coverage at scale on critical sites is the requirement.

12x Zoom + 90m IR = Long-Range Coverage From One Dome

Bridges what would otherwise need multiple X-Core domes or a full PTZ — one XNV-6123R covers long approaches with identification-grade zoom-in on demand. Materially reduces camera count on large sites.

Pressure-Wash + Enhanced Impact Rating

IP6K9K covers high-pressure/high-temperature water spray (food processing, industrial cleaning); IK10+ exceeds standard IK10 impact resistance (public transport hubs, high-vandalism precincts). Full environmental spec beyond standard IP66 outdoor cameras.

Full AI Classification With Auto-Framing

Person + face + vehicle + plate + intrusion + loitering + direction — the complete AI suite on a vandal dome form factor, with remote framing adjustment via the 12x varifocal.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Outdoor Perimeter Walls and Fences

12x zoom + 90m IR let a single dome mounted on the facade cover long approaches at identification-grade detail — meaningful on airport perimeters, industrial site boundaries, and campus grounds.

Critical Infrastructure Sites

X-Plus platform + full environmental spec (IP66/67/6K9K/IK10+/NEMA4X) targets substations, water treatment, telecommunications, transport hubs where downtime cost justifies premium camera investment.

Food Processing and Industrial Cleaning Environments

IP6K9K pressure-wash rating covers deployments subject to regular steam cleaning or high-pressure washdowns — an environmental spec unavailable on standard IP66 cameras.

High-Vandalism Precincts

IK10+ enhanced impact resistance suits public transport hubs, city precincts with elevated vandalism risk, and security-sensitive installations where standard IK10 has been insufficient.

06Setup

Installation & setup

  1. What is in the Box

    • Hanwha XNV-6123R Camera x 1
    • Mounting Screws & Anchors x 1 set
    • Quick Start Guide x 1

  2. Installation Requirements

    • Power: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) — higher class than standard PoE (802.3af). Verify switch/injector supports PoE+ before install.
    • Mounting: wall, ceiling, or facade — outdoor vandal dome housing.
    • Sealing: preserve IP66/IP67 rating by sealing all cable and conduit entries.
    • Cleaning: IP6K9K rating supports pressure-washing without damage — practical for industrial food processing installations.

  3. App/Software Setup

    • Access via web viewer, or add to Hanwha Wisenet WAVE or SSM software.
    • Dial in zoom across the 5.2-62.4mm range remotely.
    • Configure AI analytics: face/plate/person/vehicle classification thresholds, intrusion zones, loitering dwell times, direction detection.
    • Consider 120fps mode (WDR off) for fast-action scenes; 60fps with WDR-on for backlit environments.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the XNV-6123R

Q.01

Q: What's the X-Plus platform vs X-Core?
A: X-Plus is Hanwha's top-tier platform above X-Core — richer AI feature set, Extreme WDR 150dB, longer IR reach (90m vs standard 40m on X-Core), higher zoom ranges. Priced at a material premium; justified when identification-grade coverage at scale on critical sites matters.
Q.02

Q: How is this different from the XNO-6123R bullet sibling?
A: Same X-Plus internals (12x zoom, 90m IR, AI classification, 150dB WDR) — different housing. XNV-6123R is a vandal dome for ceiling/wall mounts where the camera should be less visually obtrusive; XNO-6123R is a bullet for directional pole/wall mounts where the camera is visibly aimed at a target.
Q.03

Q: What does the IP6K9K rating cover?
A: Protection against high-pressure and high-temperature water spray — meaningful for industrial installations subject to pressure washing or steam cleaning (food processing environments, industrial cleaning). Standard IP66 doesn't cover pressure-wash conditions.
Q.04

Q: What's IK10+ vs standard IK10?
A: IK10+ exceeds standard IK10 impact resistance — targeted at environments with elevated risk of deliberate impact damage such as public transport hubs, high-vandalism precincts, security-sensitive installations where IK10 has proven insufficient in service.
Q.05

Q: How far does the 12x zoom reach?
A: 5.2-62.4mm lens gives 12x optical zoom — from wide 5.2mm coverage to identification-grade 62.4mm close-up. Combined with 90m IR, one dome covers what would otherwise need multiple fixed-lens X-Core siblings or a full PTZ.
Q.06

Q: What frame rates does this support?
A: Up to 120fps with Extreme WDR off, or up to 60fps with Extreme WDR on. Practical impact: 120fps supports slow-motion incident review on fast-vehicle scenes when WDR isn't needed; drop to 60fps + WDR when backlit scene contrast is the priority.
Q.07

Q: What AI events can this detect?
A: Person, face, vehicle, and licence plate classification, plus intrusion, loitering, and direction detection. The full X-Plus AI suite.
Q.08

Q: What power does it need?
A: PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) — higher class than standard PoE (802.3af). Verify your switch or injector supports PoE+; standard PoE will not power the camera reliably given the 12x lens motor + 90m IR array + AI processing.
