4 white Dahua HDW2541EMP 5MP turret cameras with 2.8 mm lenses pair with one DHI-NVR4104HS-P-AI/ANZ 4-channel PoE NVR for four separate views on a compact four-channel recorder.

The IR turret cameras combine SMD Plus, human/vehicle IVS, built-in microphones and IP67 housings. Infrared night viewing is black-and-white.

No hard drive is included. Add compatible surveillance SATA storage for NVR recording. Network cabling, microSD cards and optional mounting accessories are separate.

What the KIT-HDW2541EMP-4CAM-NVR4104-NOHDD is

A four-camera perimeter with a dedicated view at each access point. This kit combines 4 white IPC-HDW2541EMP-AS-ANZ 5MP turret cameras with one DHI-NVR4104HS-P-AI/ANZ 4-channel PoE recorder. It suits front and rear access, a driveway and a side passage, or a small shop entrance, counter and stock area. The supplied cameras use 2.8 mm fixed lenses; a hard drive and network cabling are not included.

Each HDW2541EMP camera provides 5MP video at up to 20 fps, or up to 25/30 fps at 2688 × 1520 depending on video standard and stream settings. The supplied 2.8 mm F1.6 lens gives a 111° horizontal view. A built-in microphone, SMD Plus and human/vehicle tripwire and intrusion classification support practical event recording.

These are infrared cameras. Dahua rates IR illumination up to 30 m; in dark scenes with infrared active, the image is black-and-white. Colour needs sufficient visible light. WDR helps manage bright entrances and darker interior areas, while careful positioning remains important for usable facial detail.

One Ethernet run from each camera to a recorder PoE port carries power and video. The camera maximum PoE rating is 5 W each, so the supplied set totals 20 W before cable losses. All camera channels and PoE ports are used by the included cameras. Choose a higher-channel recorder or an additional system if you need more viewpoints. No HDD is included. Choose compatible surveillance SATA storage separately for the camera bitrates, recording schedule and retention you need. Higher camera counts increase storage demand; no fixed number of recording days is promised.

  2. Plan and cable the camera positions

    • Allocate all four positions before installation: this base recorder has no unused camera channels once the supplied cameras are connected.
    • Run one suitable Ethernet cable to each recorder PoE port; label camera locations and both cable ends.
    • Follow the camera installation guide, weatherproof exposed joints and keep the recorder dry and ventilated.

  3. Commission and test recording

    • Fit a compatible surveillance SATA hard drive, initialise devices and set strong passwords.
    • Set the correct date/time, storage and recording schedule; configure main streams, substreams and event zones within recorder limits.
    • Check every daytime and night-time view, test audio where appropriate, and play back sample recordings before relying on the system.

Is a hard drive included?
No. This base kit contains 4 cameras and one NVR without a hard drive. Add compatible surveillance SATA storage separately. The single drive bay should be sized for camera bitrates, event or continuous recording and required retention; there is no guaranteed number of recording days.

How many cameras can I add later?
All camera channels and PoE ports are used by the included cameras. Choose a higher-channel recorder or an additional system if you need more viewpoints.

Do the cameras provide colour video in complete darkness?
These are IR cameras. With infrared active in darkness, the image is black-and-white. Colour video requires sufficient visible light; this kit does not promise warm-light colour illumination or a built-in deterrent light.

What detection features are included?
The HDW2541EMP cameras provide SMD Plus and human/vehicle classification for tripwire and intrusion rules. Camera-side analytics and recorder-side AI are separate capabilities; recorder AI channel limits and selected mode still apply. This camera model should not be described as SMD 4.0 simply because other Dahua cameras use that version.

Are the cameras suitable for outdoor use?
The cameras are IP67-rated for correctly installed indoor or outdoor use. Protect exposed connections with suitable weatherproofing, avoid aiming into strong light or very close reflective surfaces and keep the lenses clean. The NVR should be installed in a dry, ventilated indoor position.

Can every camera show 5MP at 30 fps?
The camera datasheet specifies up to 20 fps at 5MP. It supports up to 25/30 fps at 2688 × 1520, subject to video standard and encoding capacity. Recording settings and the NVR live-view decoding capacity are separate limits; use suitable substreams for multi-camera grids and configure total bitrate for the recorder.
