§ 01Overview

What the IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 is

The Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 is built for distance. Its 2.8 ~ 12mm motorised zoom lens with autofocus can be set wide, at 107.4°, for context, or tightened to 29.2° on the point where cars turn in, and the DORI figures show what the zoom buys: identification reach grows from 8.7 m at 2.8 mm to 37.2 m at 12 mm, and detection from 86.9 m to 372.4 m.

It records 8MP (3840*2160) at Max 20fps, or drops to 5MP or 4MP for Max 30fps where smoother motion matters more than pixels, in Ultra 265, H.265 or H.264 with three streams. LightHunter keeps the picture in colour down to 0.0025 lux, and at night the IR-cut filter switches to black and white with smart IR lighting up to 50m at 850nm. 120dB WDR handles a gate or a roller door with the sun behind it.

Detection is the Prime-I set. Smart Intrusion Prevention draws cross line, intrusion, enter area and leave area zones and filters false alarms by classifying what tripped them as human, motor vehicle or non-motor vehicle, and the camera also counts people and monitors crowd density. An alarm input and an alarm output let a gate contact or an external device be tied to those events.

It has no built-in microphone or speaker and no warm light. Two-way audio works only through an external microphone and speaker on its audio input and output, and once the light falls below its colour rating the picture is infrared black and white; a camera with a white light is the choice for colour in full darkness.

The body is metal, sealed to IP67 and vandal rated to IK10, works from -30°C ~ 60°C and carries 6KV surge protection, so it suits a pole at the end of a drive. Power is PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or DC 12V±25% at Max 10.5W, and the camera comes with a 36 Months warranty in Australia.

What the IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

8MP Ultra HD

8MP (4K) resolution captures four times the detail of 1080p.
Even when a person or car is far down the driveway, you can zoom in and still recognise a face or read a number plate — detail that lower-resolution cameras lose.

50m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared sees in total darkness up to around 50m — good for longer driveways, car parks and wider properties. People and vehicles stay visible well beyond the reach of a porch light.

Human/Vehicle Detection

Smart detection focuses on people and vehicles and can ignore things like swaying branches, rain or small animals — helping cut down false alerts and making the right moments easier to find.

False Alarm Reduction

Filtering helps separate real activity from harmless movement like rain, leaves or pets, so you get fewer pointless notifications and the alerts that matter stand out.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

Two-Way Audio

Talk and listen in real time through the app — tell a courier where to leave a parcel, or speak to someone at the gate, whether you're home or away.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the IPC2328SB-DZK-I0

Reach the far end of the property

The Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 identifies at 37.2 m and detects at 372.4 m when zoomed to 12 mm. That is the difference between seeing a car turn in at the road and only seeing it at the door.

Frame the view after it is mounted

The 2.8 ~ 12mm motorised zoom with autofocus lets the installer start wide at 107.4° and tighten to 29.2° once the camera is up. The zoom and focus are motorised, so the framing can be changed after mounting without touching the lens.

Colour for longer, then 50m of infrared

LightHunter holds colour down to 0.0025 lux. At night, smart IR at 850nm lights the scene to 50m in black and white.

Alerts that mean something

Smart Intrusion Prevention classifies whatever crosses a line or enters a zone as human, motor vehicle or non-motor vehicle and filters the rest. The recorder is told about a person or a car, not about the weather.

Wired for gates and external devices

An alarm input and an alarm output are provided alongside an audio input and output. A gate contact can trigger recording, and an event can drive an external device through the output.

Built to be left out in the weather

A metal body with IK10 vandal resistance and IP67 sealing, rated for -30°C ~ 60°C with 6KV surge protection. It belongs on a pole at the end of the drive, not only under an eave.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Long driveway

The Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 sits at the house end and zooms towards the road. At 12 mm it identifies at 37.2 m and detects at 372.4 m, and smart IR reaches 50m after dark.

Car park or yard entry

Start at 107.4° for the widest view, then tighten the zoom onto the entry once it is clear where vehicles come through. A cross line across the entry with vehicle classification tells the recorder about cars, not people walking past.

Fence line on a pole

Mounted on the TR-UP06-B-IN pole mount it looks along the fence rather than across it. Cross line detection along the boundary and the alarm output make it a perimeter camera, and the IK10 metal body stands up to knocks.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

Mounting accessories

Mounting brackets for the Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 are sold separately and are not included in the box: the TR-JB07-D-IN and TR-JB06-A-IN junction boxes, the TR-UP06-B-IN and TR-UP06-C-IN pole mounts and the TR-A01-IN waterproof joint are the listed options.

02

One cable per camera

Run one Cat5e or Cat6 cable from the recorder or PoE switch to each camera and keep a single run under 100 m; beyond that a switch is needed part way. Keep the tail junction inside a waterproof junction box, a pole chamber or conduit, never exposed, and never mount the junction box horizontally where water can pool.

03

Power

PoE (IEEE 802.3af) carries power and video on the one cable, or use a DC 12V±25% supply where power already exists. The camera draws Max 10.5W, so check the port budget of the recorder or switch it will hang off.

04

Recorder, drive and monitor

Put the recorder somewhere ventilated near the router and fit a hard drive before recording. Connect a monitor for the first setup, then add the camera to a PoE port on a Uniview recorder or give it a fixed address on the network.

05

App and network setup

Connect the camera or its recorder to the router in the same network segment, enable EZCloud in the device interface, then scan the QR code in EZView under Devices, Add, Scan and allow a short time for the cloud connection. ONVIF Profile S, G and T and RTSP cover third-party recorders.

06

When to call an electrician

A PoE camera on an existing recorder is not electrical work. Use a licensed electrician for a new power point, for mains-connected equipment, and a registered cabler wherever local cabling rules require one.

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the IPC2328SB-DZK-I0

Q.01

Does the Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 record in colour at night?

The Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 stays in colour down to 0.0025 lux thanks to LightHunter and its F1.6 lens. At night it switches to black and white with smart IR to 50m at 850nm. It has no warm light, so it cannot give colour in full darkness.
Q.02

How far can the zoom lens see?

The 2.8 ~ 12mm motorised zoom is optical, so the picture keeps its full resolution at any setting. At 2.8 mm the camera detects at 86.9 m and identifies at 8.7 m; at 12 mm that becomes 372.4 m and 37.2 m, with the view narrowing from 107.4° to 29.2°.
Q.03

What can it detect on its own?

Smart Intrusion Prevention draws cross line, intrusion, enter area and leave area zones and classifies what trips them as human, motor vehicle or non-motor vehicle. It also counts people and monitors crowd density, and has motion, ultra motion, tampering and audio detection.
Q.04

Can I talk to someone through the camera?

Not on its own. It has no built-in microphone or speaker, but two-way audio works through an external microphone and speaker connected to its audio input and output.
Q.05

How is it powered?

By PoE (IEEE 802.3af) over the network cable or by a DC 12V±25% supply. Power consumption is Max 10.5W, so allow for that on the PoE port.
Q.06

Will it work with a third-party recorder?

Yes, through ONVIF Profile S, G and T or RTSP, as long as the recorder supports the same protocol. Add it with the camera's IP address and web login; if it connects without a picture, try H.264, turn off RTSP authentication or turn off U-code.
Q.07

Can it record without a recorder?

Yes, to a Micro SD card up to 256GB inside the camera. With ANR it also caches recordings on the card during a network dropout and transfers them once the connection returns.
Q.08

Is it suitable outdoors on a pole?

Yes. The metal body is IP67 sealed and IK10 vandal rated, works from -30°C ~ 60°C and has 6KV surge protection. Keep the cable junction inside a waterproof box or conduit rather than exposed.
Q.09

What is the warranty in Australia?

The camera carries a 36 Months warranty. If it will not start, cross-test the cable and power supply with a known-good camera first; the IR light flashes during start-up and a light that stays on, off or keeps flashing means start-up failed.

§ 10Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Pair it with a Uniview PoE NVR

The Uniview IPC2328SB-DZK-I0 is powered and recorded by a PoE NVR without a separate switch. Choose channels and PoE budget for the cameras planned now and later, allowing Max 10.5W for this one.

02

Add a Micro SD card

A Micro SD card up to 256GB lets the camera record on its own and, with ANR, bridges a dropout between camera and recorder. It is the simplest way to keep footage when the network fails.

03

Add the mount for the position

The TR-JB07-D-IN or TR-JB06-A-IN junction box takes the cable where it cannot go straight through the wall, the TR-UP06-B-IN pole mount fixes the camera to a pole, and the TR-A01-IN waterproof joint seals the cable entry.
