§ 01Overview

What the IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL is

The Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL is the dual light camera in Uniview's EASY range, and the choice of light is the point. Infrared at 850 nm reaches 30 m and gives a black and white picture; the warm light reaches the same 30 m and gives full colour that tells you what someone was wearing. Smart illumination and smart IR control both, so a close subject is not blown out.

Resolution is 6 MP at 3200 × 1800 and 25 fps, or 1080P at 30 fps where smoother movement matters more. 120 dB WDR holds a face against a bright doorway, HLC pulls back headlights, BLC lifts a backlit subject, and digital defog with 2D and 3D noise reduction cleans the picture up. The 2.8 mm lens sees 102.73° across and 53.95° vertically.

Distances are worth planning around. Uniview rates it to detect at 63.1 m, observe at 25.2 m, recognise at 12.6 m and identify at 6.3 m, so a camera meant to identify a caller belongs near the door rather than at the end of the drive.

Detection is done in the camera and it is more selective than plain motion. Cross line and intrusion detection are based on human body detection, and ultra motion detection works on human body and vehicle detection, so the alert follows a person or a vehicle rather than any movement at all. Motion, tampering and audio detection run alongside.

What it does not have is worth knowing before ordering. There is a built-in microphone but no speaker, no two-way audio, and no alarm input or output. Storage is a microSD card of up to 512 GB with ANR to a recorder and NAS over NFS; it runs on PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC at no more than 5.1 W; and the metal and plastic housing measures 110.5 mm across by 98.0 mm deep, weighs 0.46 kg, is rated IP67 and works from -30 °C to 60 °C. ONVIF Profile S, G and T are supported for third-party recorders.

What the IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

6MP Ultra HD

6MP captures around three times the detail of 1080p. Plenty of resolution to zoom into a face or number plate part-way down the driveway and still read it clearly.

Dual-Light Night Vision

Combines infrared with a warm spotlight so it can light a scene in colour at night rather than relying on black-and-white alone — clearer, more useful footage when there's something to see.

30m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared lets the camera see in complete darkness up to around 30m — enough for a typical driveway, front yard or entrance. People and vehicles stay clear in black-and-white, brighter the closer they are.

Human/Vehicle Detection

Smart detection focuses on people and vehicles and can ignore things like swaying branches, rain or small animals — helping cut down false alerts and making the right moments easier to find.

False Alarm Reduction

Filtering helps separate real activity from harmless movement like rain, leaves or pets, so you get fewer pointless notifications and the alerts that matter stand out.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL

Two kinds of night vision, one camera

The Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL has both infrared and a warm light, each reaching 30 m. Use infrared where a lit camera would be intrusive, and the warm light where the colour of a car or a jacket is what you need.

Alerts for people and cars

Cross line and intrusion detection work on human body detection, and ultra motion detection adds vehicle detection. Detection is tied to a person or a vehicle rather than to movement alone.

Faces survive a bright background

120 dB WDR holds the gap between a dark porch and the sky behind it, HLC pulls back headlights and BLC lifts a subject standing against the light. Those are the three situations that ruin a doorway shot.

Recording survives a dropout

A microSD card of up to 512 GB sits in the camera, and ANR caches to it when the link to the recorder fails, transferring the footage back afterwards. A camera running on its own can record to that card alone.

One cable, and it lives outside

PoE 802.3af carries power and video on the same run at no more than 5.1 W. The IP67 metal and plastic housing is rated from -30 °C to 60 °C.

Sound with the picture

A built-in microphone records audio alongside the video, which often settles what happened at a doorway. Note there is no speaker and no two-way audio on this model.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Front door or porch of an Australian home

The Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL under an eave puts a caller inside its 6.3 m identify distance as they reach the door, and the 102.73° view holds the path either side. Choose the warm light if colour matters more than being discreet.

Driveway or front fence

Ultra motion detection based on human body and vehicle detection suits a driveway, where a car arriving is the event worth an alert. Detection is rated to 63.1 m, though a figure is only readable much closer in.

Shopfront or workshop

Above an entry, the built-in microphone records sound with the picture and the dual light keeps the frontage usable after closing. Cross line detection along the doorway raises an alert only for a human body.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What arrives and what does not

The Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL is supplied as the camera itself, with its fixed 2.8 mm lens and cable tail. Check the carton against the delivery note on arrival. The bracket, the memory card and any plug pack are separate products, so have them on site before the install.

02

Brackets and mounts

The camera fits flat to a soffit or ceiling, or onto the listed accessories: the TR-JB03-G-IN junction box, TR-JB07/WM03-G-IN and TR-WM03-D-IN wall brackets, TR-UM06-E-IN slant bracket, TR-UC08-C corner bracket, TR-UP06-IN pole bracket, TR-A01-IN waterproof cable gland and the TR-SE24-IN, TR-SE24-A-IN or TR-CM24-IN pendant mounts.

03

Cabling and power

Run one network cable per camera, Cat5e or Cat6, and keep each run under 100 m to the switch or recorder. Power is PoE 802.3af on the same cable, or 12 V DC to the Ø5.5 mm coaxial plug where there is no PoE.

04

Aiming it

The camera pans through 360°, tilts to 80° and rotates through 360° in its mount, so the picture can be squared up after the bracket is fixed. Point it across an approach rather than straight down it, and keep the light off a wall close to the lens.

05

Choosing the light

Set the supplemental light to infrared for a discreet black and white picture, or to the warm light for colour. Smart IR and smart illumination manage the level so a close subject is not washed out.

06

Recording, recorder and screen

Fit a microSD card of up to 512 GB for edge storage, or add the camera to a network video recorder. A recorder needs its own surveillance-rated hard drive and a monitor on its video output, and it belongs in a ventilated indoor spot near the router.

07

App and clients

The listed clients are UNV-Link and UNV-Link Pro on a phone and EZStation on a computer. Set the camera up on the router first, with an address in the router network segment, then add it in the client and allow a couple of minutes for the connection to settle.

08

When you need an electrician

Only for a new power point or for cabling inside a wall cavity, and that work is for a licensed electrician. The camera itself runs on PoE or low-voltage DC and needs no mains work.

§ 10Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Add a PoE recorder or switch

The Uniview IPC3616LE-ADF28KM-DL takes power and video over one cable using PoE 802.3af at no more than 5.1 W. Check the recorder or switch supports 802.3af and has a spare port before ordering.

02

Add a microSD card

A card of up to 512 GB gives the camera edge storage and lets ANR fill a gap if the network to the recorder drops. Order one per camera, because the slot takes a single card.

03

Add the right bracket

A soffit or ceiling takes the camera directly, but a wall, corner, pole or pendant run needs a mount from the listed accessories, and an exposed cable joint needs the TR-A01-IN waterproof cable gland. Choose it with the camera so the install is not held up.
