§ 01Overview
What the DS-2CD2186G2H-ISU is
The Hikvision DS-2CD2186G2H-ISU is a full-size 8 MP AcuSense dome for sites that need dependable 4K coverage in changing light.
It captures 3840 x 2160 detail, and Powered-by-DarkFighter technology lifts low-light performance so dusk and night scenes stay usable.
AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, keeping motion alarms and perimeter rules - line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and exit - focused on people and cars.
It has a built-in microphone for recording audio, 130 dB true WDR to hold detail against bright backlight, and 30 m infrared for night coverage.
The dome housing is IP67 against dust and rain and IK10 against impact, which is a step up in vandal resistance over a mini dome and makes it well suited to car parks, schools, hospitals and building entrances.
Two honest notes: it has a built-in microphone for audio recording but no built-in speaker, so it is not a two-way talk camera on its own - add an external speaker to the audio output if you need that.
And night images are black-and-white from the infrared.
Power it from PoE or 12 VDC and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR for the best results.
