§ 01Overview

What the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS-1 is

The Hikvision DS-2CD6365G0E is a 6 MP in-ceiling fisheye that covers a full room from above while keeping a low profile.

Where the outdoor fisheye is a surface dome, this version is made to recess into a ceiling so only a small lens is visible, which suits shops, offices and reception areas where you want coverage without an obvious camera.

From a central ceiling position it gives a 360 degree view of the whole space below with no blind spot under the camera.

The 6 MP sensor keeps the panoramic image detailed enough to follow people across the room, and built-in software de-warps the circular fisheye image into easier-to-watch views, with up to 18 display modes such as panoramic strips and straightened quad views.

On top of the live view it runs people counting, a heat map of busy zones and behaviour analysis on the camera itself, which is useful for retail and venue operators.

A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio so staff can listen and speak through the camera.

This is an indoor model that relies on the room's own lighting rather than infrared, so plan it for spaces that stay reasonably lit.

It powers over PoE or 12 VDC on a single cable, takes a microSD card up to 256 GB, and records to a Hikvision NVR.

As with any fisheye, set the mounting height so people are large enough in the image where you need to identify them; the trade-off for whole-room coverage is lower detail at the far edges than a zoomed-in fixed camera.

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

6MP Ultra HD

6MP captures around three times the detail of 1080p. Plenty of resolution to zoom into a face or number plate part-way down the driveway and still read it clearly.

Two-Way Audio

Talk and listen in real time through the app — tell a courier where to leave a parcel, or speak to someone at the gate, whether you're home or away.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS-1

Discreet whole-room cover

An in-ceiling fisheye covers a full room from above while showing only a small lens.

Views that make sense

Built-in de-warping turns the circular image into panoramic and straightened views, up to 18 modes.

Talk and listen

A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio for staff and visitors.

Insight as well as security

On-board people counting and a heat map show foot traffic on top of the footage.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Retail floors and shops

Cover an entire indoor shop floor with one discreet ceiling camera and read busy aisles on the heat map.

Offices and meeting areas

Watch an open-plan office or boardroom from above without an obvious camera.

Reception and lobbies

Keep a tidy ceiling install over an indoor entrance with two-way audio at the desk.

Hospitality and waiting rooms

Cover a whole indoor room from one point where lighting stays on.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DS-2CD6365G0E in-ceiling fisheye camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable and microSD card are supplied separately.

02

Installation requirements

Recess it centrally into an indoor ceiling for a 360 degree view, and run one network cable back to a PoE switch or NVR, or use 12 VDC. Choose the display modes in the software and record it to a Hikvision NVR. Because it has no infrared, use it where the room stays reasonably lit, and set the mounting height so people are large enough where you need to identify them.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS-1

Q.01

Where is the DS-2CD6365G0E meant to be installed?

It is an indoor in-ceiling fisheye, so it recesses into a ceiling and shows only a small lens. It suits shops, offices, lobbies and other indoor rooms where you want a discreet camera that still covers the whole space.
Q.02

Does this model have infrared night vision?

No. This is the no-infrared version, so it relies on the room's normal lighting. Use it in spaces that stay reasonably lit, and choose an infrared fisheye such as the outdoor DS-2CD6365G0-IVS for dark areas.
Q.03

How much area does it cover?

From a central ceiling position it sees a full 360 degrees of the room below with no blind spot directly under it, so one camera can replace several fixed cameras in an open space.
Q.04

Does the fisheye image look distorted?

The raw lens image is circular, but the camera and the recording software de-warp it into normal-looking views, such as panoramic strips and straightened quad views, with up to 18 display modes to suit the room.
Q.05

Does it have two-way audio?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, so staff can listen to the room and speak through the camera using the Hik-Connect app or a compatible NVR.
Q.06

Can I identify a face across a large room?

A single fisheye trades long-range detail for full coverage, so faces are clearest closer to the camera. Mount it at a sensible height, and add a fixed camera at a doorway if you need close identification there.
Q.07

How is it powered?

It runs over PoE (802.3at) on a single network cable, or on 12 VDC. PoE keeps power and data on one cable back to a PoE switch or NVR.
Q.08

What are the people counting and heat map for?

They are business tools. People counting tallies how many people cross a line, and the heat map shows the busiest zones, so retail and venue operators can read foot traffic alongside the footage.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Record and review it

Feed it to a Hikvision AcuSense recorder such as the 16-channel DS-7732NXI-I4/16P NVR for higher channel counts and bandwidth, or the 8-channel DS-7608NI-I2/8P on smaller sites. Add a surveillance-grade drive like the 6 TB for weeks of continuous footage.

02

Power it over one cable

Run a single network cable per camera from a PoE source. The HiLook 8-port PoE switch feeds several cameras and the recorder, keeping the cabling tidy on multi-camera sites.

03

Cover dark or outdoor areas too

For areas that get dark or sit outdoors, add the infrared, weatherproof DS-2CD6365G0-IVS fisheye alongside this indoor model.
