§ 01Overview

What the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS is

The Hikvision DS-2CD6365G0-IVS is a 6 MP fisheye, or panoramic, camera that replaces several fixed cameras with one overhead unit.

Mounted on a ceiling it gives a 360 degree view of the whole area below with no blind spot directly under the camera; mounted on a wall it gives a 180 degree wide view.

The 6 MP sensor keeps the panoramic image detailed enough to follow people across a large space.

Built-in software de-warps the circular fisheye image into easier-to-watch views, and the camera offers up to 18 display modes such as panoramic strips and several straightened quad views, so you can present the scene the way that suits the room.

On top of the live view it runs business and security analytics on the camera itself, including people counting, a heat map of busy zones and behaviour analysis, which is useful in retail and public spaces.

A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio so staff can listen and speak through the camera.

This is a metal fisheye rated IP67 and IK10 for outdoor and exposed indoor sites, with built-in infrared up to 15 m for low-light areas, a microSD slot up to 256 GB and PoE or 12 VDC power.

Because one fisheye covers a wide area, plan the mounting height so people are large enough in the image where you need to identify them; the trade-off for full coverage is that detail at the far edges is lower than a zoomed-in fixed camera.

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

6MP Ultra HD

6MP captures around three times the detail of 1080p. Plenty of resolution to zoom into a face or number plate part-way down the driveway and still read it clearly.

Two-Way Audio

Talk and listen in real time through the app — tell a courier where to leave a parcel, or speak to someone at the gate, whether you're home or away.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS

One camera, no blind spot

A 360 degree fisheye covers a whole room or forecourt from a single overhead point.

Views that make sense

Built-in de-warping turns the circular image into panoramic and straightened views, up to 18 modes.

Talk and listen

A built-in microphone and speaker give two-way audio for staff or visitors.

Insight as well as security

On-board people counting and a heat map show foot traffic on top of the footage.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Retail floors and shops

Cover an entire shop floor with one camera and use the heat map to see busy aisles.

Lobbies and reception

Watch a whole entrance hall from above with two-way audio at the desk.

Open-plan offices and halls

Replace several fixed cameras with one overhead fisheye over a large room.

Covered forecourts and yards

Use the IP67 housing to watch an open area outdoors without multiple cameras.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DS-2CD6365G0-IVS fisheye camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any pendant mount are supplied separately.

02

Installation requirements

Mount it centrally on a ceiling for a 360 degree view, or on a wall for a 180 degree view, and run one network cable back to a PoE switch or NVR, or use 12 VDC. Choose the display modes in the software and record it to a Hikvision NVR. Set the mounting height so people are large enough in the image where you need to identify them.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS

Q.01

How much area does the DS-2CD6365G0-IVS cover?

Mounted on a ceiling it sees a full 360 degrees of the area below with no blind spot directly under it. Mounted on a wall it gives a 180 degree wide view. One fisheye can replace several fixed cameras in an open room or forecourt.
Q.02

Does the fisheye image look distorted?

The raw lens image is circular, but the camera and the recording software de-warp it into normal-looking views, such as panoramic strips and straightened quad views. There are up to 18 display modes to suit different rooms.
Q.03

Does it have two-way audio?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, so you can listen to the area and speak through the camera live using the Hik-Connect app or a compatible NVR.
Q.04

How far does the night vision reach?

Built-in infrared reaches up to 15 m, which suits a typical room or a small forecourt. Because a fisheye covers a wide area rather than a long distance, the infrared is designed for the space below the camera rather than a long throw.
Q.05

Is it good enough to identify a face across a big room?

A single fisheye trades long-range detail for full coverage, so faces are clearest closer to the camera. For a large space, mount it at a sensible height and add a fixed camera at an entry point if you need close identification there.
Q.06

What are the people counting and heat map for?

They are business tools. People counting tallies how many people pass a line, and the heat map shows which zones are busiest. Retail and venue operators use them to understand foot traffic alongside the security footage.
Q.07

Can I power it with PoE?

Yes. It runs on PoE (802.3at) over a single network cable from a PoE switch or PoE NVR, or on 12 VDC if you prefer a separate supply.
Q.08

Is it suitable for outdoors?

Yes. It is rated IP67 against dust and water and IK10 against impact, so it suits covered outdoor areas as well as indoor halls, lobbies and shops.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Record and review it

Feed it to a Hikvision AcuSense recorder such as the 16-channel DS-7732NXI-I4/16P NVR for higher channel counts and bandwidth, or the 8-channel DS-7608NI-I2/8P on smaller sites. Add a surveillance-grade drive like the 8 TB for weeks of continuous footage.

02

Power it over one cable

Run a single network cable per camera from a PoE source. The HiLook 8-port PoE switch feeds several cameras and the recorder, keeping the cabling tidy on multi-camera sites.

03

Add detail at the door

Pair this wide fisheye with a fixed camera such as the DS-2CD5A85G0-IZ bullet at an entry point where you need close, identifiable detail.
