§ 01Overview

What the DS-2CE19H8T-AIT3ZF is

The Hikvision DS-2CE19H8T-AIT3ZF is a long-range 5 MP Turbo HD bullet that brings high-definition detail to an analogue CCTV system without new network cabling. It sends its picture down the coaxial cable you already have, so you can upgrade older outdoor cameras to 5 MP resolution while keeping your existing DVR and wiring.

A motorised 2.7-13.5 mm varifocal lens lets you set and fine-tune the field of view remotely, from a wide yard overview to a tighter long-range shot, without touching the camera. At night, EXIR 2.0 with Smart IR reaches a long 80 m and dials back the intensity on close objects to avoid wash-out, while 130 dB true WDR and 3D DNR keep the image clear against bright backlight and in low light. Being 4-in-1, it outputs TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS, so it works with almost any modern Turbo HD or analogue DVR.

A couple of honest notes so you order the right parts. This is an analogue Turbo HD camera, not an IP camera, so it connects to a DVR over coax rather than to an NVR over the network, and it does not use PoE - it runs on a 12 VDC or 24 VAC supply. Its rugged IP67 metal housing is built for outdoor walls and eaves, and like any infrared camera its night images are black-and-white.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-2CE19H8T-AIT3ZF

Upgrade without rewiring

5 MP detail over your existing coax means a high-definition upgrade while keeping the DVR and cabling.

Long-range night vision

80 m EXIR 2.0 with Smart IR lights driveways and perimeters evenly for clear black-and-white footage.

Set the view remotely

A motorised 2.7-13.5 mm lens adjusts zoom and focus from the recorder, no second trip up the ladder.

Built for outside

A rugged IP67 metal housing stands up to dust, rain and the Australian climate.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Outdoor analogue upgrades

Replace ageing outdoor analogue cameras with 5 MP detail while keeping the existing DVR and coax.

Driveways and perimeters

Cover a long driveway or boundary with a wide-to-tele varifocal lens and 80 m IR.

Yards and acreage

Watch open ground and distant gates with long-range night vision.

Building faces

Monitor the front of a home or business with a weatherproof outdoor bullet.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DS-2CE19H8T-AIT3ZF 5MP Turbo HD outdoor bullet camera with mounting template and fixings. The DVR, coaxial cable and 12 VDC / 24 VAC power supply are supplied separately.

02

Installation requirements

Mount it on an outdoor wall or eave aimed at the area to cover. Run coax back to your DVR and switch the camera to the matching signal (TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS). Provide 12 VDC or 24 VAC power, set the motorised zoom and focus, then confirm the long-range IR on the DVR. It is an analogue camera, so it does not use the network or PoE.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-2CE19H8T-AIT3ZF

Q.01

Can I use the DS-2CE19H8T-AIT3ZF on my existing coax cabling?

Yes. It is a Turbo HD analogue camera that sends 5 MP video down standard coaxial cable, so you can upgrade older outdoor cameras to high definition without running new network wiring.
Q.02

How far does the night vision reach?

It has long-range EXIR 2.0 infrared with Smart IR that lights the scene evenly out to 80 m, which suits driveways, yards and perimeters. As with any infrared camera the night image is black-and-white.
Q.03

What does 4 in 1 mean?

The camera can output four signal types - TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS - and you switch it to match your recorder, so it is compatible with almost any modern Turbo HD or analogue DVR.
Q.04

Is the lens motorised?

Yes. It has a motorised 2.7-13.5 mm varifocal lens, so you can adjust the zoom and focus remotely to set the exact field of view without touching the camera.
Q.05

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. It has an IP67-rated metal housing, so it stands up to dust and heavy rain on outdoor walls and eaves in the Australian climate.
Q.06

Does it connect to an NVR or a DVR?

To a DVR. This is an analogue camera, so it connects over coax to a Turbo HD or analogue DVR, not over the network to an IP NVR.
Q.07

How is it powered - does it use PoE?

No, it does not use PoE. It is powered by a separate 12 VDC or 24 VAC supply run to the camera, while the coax carries the video.
Q.08

Will it handle bright backlight, like a driveway facing the sun?

Yes. It has 130 dB true WDR plus 3D DNR, which balances bright and dark areas in the same scene, so faces and vehicles stay visible against strong backlight.
