§ 01Overview

What the iDS-2CD7347G0-P-XS is

The Hikvision iDS-2CD7347G0-P-XS is a 4 MP DeepinView ANPR turret made for one job done well: reading number plates at a controlled access point.

On-board deep learning recognises common and complex plates with high accuracy and supports allow and block lists of up to 10,000 records, so the camera can trigger a barrier, log a vehicle or raise an alarm on its own.

It also detects vehicle attributes such as type, colour and brand, which adds context to each capture.

Because it is built for plate capture, the geometry matters.

It uses a fixed lens, and the number-plate reading distance is about 2.5 metres with the 2.8 mm lens or 4 metres with the 4 mm lens, so it is designed for a single, near lane such as a gate, driveway or car-park entry rather than a distant, fast road.

A DarkFighterS low-light sensor and a hybrid IR and white-light supplement reaching up to 40 metres keep plates and the scene clear after dark; the white light allows full-colour context images at night, while infrared handles longer-range and low-light reading.

It is a turret in a tough IP67 metal body, easy to fit at the edge of a lane on a wall or pole.

Audio is via line in and line out connectors only, as there is no built-in microphone.

It records to a standard Hikvision NVR over PoE and, like the rest of the DeepinView range, pairs well with a Hikvision recorder that can store and search the plate and capture data.

Position it square to the lane at the right height for the plate, and it gives reliable, evidence-grade capture at a single entry point.

What the iDS-2CD7347G0-P-XS features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

4MP Ultra HD

4MP captures roughly twice the detail of standard 1080p.

40m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared sees in total darkness up to around 40m, reaching further across a larger yard or laneway. Subjects appear in clear black-and-white, sharper and brighter as they get closer.

Full Color Night Vision

Unlike plain black-and-white night vision, this camera can capture colour after dark — so you can pick out the actual colour of a car, a jacket or a bag, detail that grey infrared footage loses.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the iDS-2CD7347G0-P-XS

Plates read on the camera

On-board deep learning recognises common and complex plates and checks allow and block lists of up to 10,000 records, with no separate server.

Clear capture day and night

A DarkFighterS sensor and hybrid IR and white-light supplement to 40 metres keep plates readable after dark, with full-colour context under white light.

Built for a lane

A fixed lens and defined reading distance make it simple to set up square to a gate, driveway or car-park entry.

Rugged and easy to power

An IP67 metal turret runs on standard PoE, so one cable handles power and video at the edge of a lane.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Car park entries

Read plates at the barrier to manage entry, billing and allow lists at a single lane.

Gated communities and driveways

Log and recognise vehicles at the gate, triggering access for known plates.

Warehouse and logistics access

Capture plates and vehicle attributes at loading and yard entry points.

Business premises

Record vehicles entering and leaving controlled lanes for security and audit.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

In the box

DeepinView ANPR turret, mounting base and the printed guide. A wall or pole bracket and a junction box are selected to suit the position and bought separately.

02

Power and cabling

Run a single network cable for PoE (802.3af), or use 12 VDC. Keep the Ethernet run within standard limits to the recorder or switch.

03

Mounting and aiming

Fix it square to a single lane at a height that frames the plate, within the 2.5 to 4 metre reading distance, with a clean front-on view of approaching vehicles.

04

Setup

Set the ANPR rules and allow and block lists, tune the hybrid IR and white-light supplement for night capture, and link the camera to your recorder or access system.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the iDS-2CD7347G0-P-XS

Q.01

How close does a vehicle need to be to read the plate?

It uses a fixed lens, and the number-plate reading distance is about 2.5 metres with the 2.8 mm lens or 4 metres with the 4 mm lens. It is built for a single near lane such as a gate or car-park entry, not for reading plates across a wide or distant road.
Q.02

What can it do with a plate once it reads it?

It recognises the plate on the camera and checks it against allow and block lists holding up to 10,000 records, so it can trigger a barrier, log the vehicle or raise an alarm without a separate server. It also captures vehicle type, colour and brand for extra context.
Q.03

Does it work at night?

Yes. A DarkFighterS low-light sensor and a hybrid IR and white-light supplement reaching up to 40 metres keep plates readable after dark. The white light gives full-colour context images at night, while infrared supports longer-range and very low-light reading.
Q.04

Where should I position it?

Mount it square to a single lane at the right height to frame the plate, at a gate, driveway or car-park entry. Keep the approach reasonably slow and within the lens range so the camera has a clean, front-on view of each plate as the vehicle passes.
Q.05

Does it detect people for intruder alarms?

Its intelligence is built around vehicles and plates rather than human and vehicle perimeter classification. It supports basic perimeter rules on specified targets, but for people-focused detection and analytics a DeepinView camera from the face or human and vehicle range is the better choice.
Q.06

Does it record audio?

It has line in and line out connectors but no built-in microphone, so audio needs an external mic and speaker. In most ANPR installs the camera is used for plate capture and video rather than sound.
Q.07

How is it powered and recorded?

It runs on standard PoE (802.3af) or 12 VDC, so a single network cable can power it, and records to a Hikvision NVR. The IP67 metal turret body suits an exposed gate or lane position.
