The Hikvision DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZS is a DeepinView bullet camera specialised for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). Rather than chasing megapixels, it uses a 2 MP 1/1.8" sensor at a high frame rate so it can freeze a moving plate clearly, and a deep-learning ANPR engine reads the characters and logs them. The plate algorithm is tuned for Australian plates and reaches around 95% accuracy when the camera is set up and aimed correctly.

This configuration pairs the camera with the 8 to 32 mm motorised zoom and 100 m infrared, so it suits the harder long-range jobs: a plate at a distant boundary gate, the far end of a long driveway, or a specific lane across a wide entry. The motorised lens lets you set the zoom and focus remotely to frame the plate at the right size. DarkFighter low-light performance and 140 dB Wide Dynamic Range help keep plates legible against headlight glare at night and strong backlight by day, which are the two situations that defeat an ordinary camera at a gate.

On top of plate capture it holds a block list and allow list on the camera, so it can trigger a gate or an alert for known plates, and it adds face detection and behaviour analytics. This is a metal bullet rated IP67 and IK10 for outdoor sites, powered by PoE or 12 VDC.     One DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZS ANPR bullet camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

  2. Installation requirements

    Mount it for a clean, front-on view of the plate at the lane or gate, at a height and angle that keep the plate square in the frame, and run one network cable back to a PoE switch or NVR. Set the 8 to 32 mm zoom and focus on the plate area, tune the ANPR and lists in the software, and record it to a Hikvision NVR.
