The Hikvision iDS-2CD75C5G0-IZHS is a 12 MP DeepinView dome built to do two jobs at once: cover a wide area and still capture the fine detail inside it.

A 1/1.7" sensor records 4000 x 3000 video, which is roughly three times the pixels of a 4 MP camera, so one well-placed dome can watch a forecourt, hall or yard and let an operator zoom into a face or a number plate after the event.

A motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens (an 8 to 32 mm version is available) sets the zoom and focus remotely from the recorder.

It is a professional AI camera, not just a high-resolution one.

On-board deep learning captures and compares faces against on-camera libraries, counts people entering and leaving, and classifies human and vehicle targets so perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion fire on real threats rather than leaves or animals.

Run a single gigabit network cable for PoE (802.3at), or use 12 VDC. A gigabit path matters so the 12 MP stream is not throttled.
