Installation Requirements
1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12V DC. 2. Cable: Cat5e or Cat6 for network. Separate Wiegand cable to the access controller. 3. Mounting: Pole or wall mount facing the vehicle approach lane. Angle the camera at 15–30° to the lane for best plate capture. 4. Distance: Optimise the 8–32 mm zoom for the capture zone — typically 3–20 m depending on lane width.
App Setup
1. Download Hik-Connect app (iOS or Android). 2. Power the camera via PoE. 3. Add by QR code or serial number. 4. Configure plate database, Wiegand output format (26-bit), and trigger rules via the web interface.
