What the DS-2SF8C442MXG-ELW/26 is
The Hikvision DS-2SF8C442MXG1-ELW/26 is a 4 MP Ultra-series TandemVu PTZ built for large-scale sites such as transport hubs, ports, industrial estates and council precincts.
The panoramic lens spreads a 190 degree view across the whole scene, while a separate 42x optical zoom PTZ lens (6 to 252 mm) reaches a long way down a perimeter or across a yard.
Because the panoramic view is always recording, the camera holds the big picture even while the PTZ is following one target far away.
This is a deep-learning camera.
It detects and classifies people, faces and vehicles at the same time, runs perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion, and supports auto-tracking 3.0 that locks onto a person or vehicle and follows it across the scene.
Target classification cuts the false alarms that weather and animals cause on an ordinary camera.
The panoramic lens uses a white light up to 30 m for full-colour night images, and the PTZ lens uses infrared up to 300 m for long-range night reach, where the zoomed image is black and white.
A built-in gyroscope assists stabilisation so the long-zoom image stays steady on a high mast or in wind.
It carries 150 dB Wide Dynamic Range, a built-in wiper and optical defog, and a metal housing rated IP67 and IK10 across a wide operating temperature range.
A built-in speaker plays audible warnings; audio input and output connections take an external microphone if needed.
It is powered by Hi-PoE (802.3bt) or 36 V, a higher power class than standard PoE, so check your switch, injector or recorder can supply it.

One DS-2SF8C442MXG1-ELW/26 PTZ camera with mounting hardware and a quick guide. The Hi-PoE (802.3bt) source or 36 V supply, network cable, microSD card and any pole or wall bracket are supplied separately.
Installation requirements
Mount it high on a mast, rooftop or wall with a clear line of sight for the long zoom and the panoramic view, and run a network cable back to an 802.3bt source or use 36 V. Set the home view, presets, auto-tracking and perimeter rules in the software, and record it to a Hikvision NVR that handles the AI metadata.
