What the DS-2CD5526G0-IZS is

The Hikvision DS-2CD5526G0-IZS is a 2 MP DarkFighter motorised varifocal dome aimed at professional and enterprise sites where light is poor and movement is fast.

Rather than chase megapixels, it uses a large 1/1.8" sensor and an F1.2 lens to capture clean, low-noise images in very dim conditions, and it runs at up to 60 frames per second so fast-moving people, vehicles or machinery stay sharp instead of blurring.

140 dB Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and dark areas in the same frame, which helps at entrances, tunnels and loading areas where strong backlight would wash out an ordinary camera.

The motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens lets you set the zoom and focus remotely, and built-in infrared reaches up to 30 m on the 2.8 to 12 mm lens for clear black and white footage after dark.

On-board smart analytics include behaviour analysis such as line crossing and intrusion, plus exception detection, face detection and counting.

This is a vandal-resistant metal dome rated IP67 and IK10 for outdoor and exposed indoor sites, with a microSD slot up to 256 GB, a gigabit network port and an analogue CVBS output for set-up.

It runs on PoE (802.3at), 12 VDC or 24 VAC.

Audio is provided through a line-in and a line-out connector for an external microphone and speaker; there is no built-in microphone or speaker on this model.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD5526G0-IZS dome camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any wall or pendant mount are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a ceiling or wall overlooking the area, and run one network cable back to a PoE switch or NVR that supports 802.3at, or use 12 VDC or 24 VAC. Set the zoom, focus and analytics in the software, add external audio to the line-in and line-out if needed, and record it to a Hikvision NVR.
