Bosch CM710B 4 Way Relay Output Module RS485

SKU: CM710B
Description

The Bosch CM710B is a 4-way relay output expansion module for the Bosch Solution 6000 alarm panel. It adds four Form C relay contacts so the system can switch external devices such as a garage door, gate, lights or an electric door strike. Because it runs on the RS485 LAN, it can sit in the panel enclosure or be located out near the device it controls.

§ 01Overview

What the CM710B is

The Bosch CM710B is the 4-way relay output module for the Bosch Solution 6000 alarm panel. It is the part you add when you want the alarm to switch real-world devices, such as opening a garage door or gate, turning on lights, releasing a door strike or driving an indicator, on top of the panel's own outputs.

It provides four Form C relay contacts rated at 24VDC and 2A, and runs on the panel's four-wire RS485 LAN. Because it is LAN based, you can fit it inside the main panel enclosure or mount it remotely, up to 300m away with standard security cable, close to the device it controls. Each module is given its own address with a three-way DIP switch, and a Solution 6000 supports up to eight CM710B modules for up to 32 extra outputs.

The module is supplied as a PCB and includes a status LED, a separate tamper input so it can go in its own enclosure, and a service codepad connector for maintenance at a remote location. It must be wired and programmed by a licensed installer; it is not a standalone product.

§ 02Engineering

CM710B specifications

- Four Form C (changeover) relay contacts rated at 24VDC and 2A max, to switch gates, garage doors, lights, door strikes, pumps or indicators.

- Designed for the Bosch Solution 6000 / 144 panel, with up to eight CM710B modules per system for up to 32 additional outputs.

- Runs on the four-wire RS485 LAN, so it can be co-located in the panel enclosure or mounted remotely up to 300m away on standard security cable.

- Status LED shows healthy communication with the panel, and a separate tamper input lets the module live in its own protected enclosure.

- Service codepad connector allows a codepad to be added temporarily at the module for maintenance away from the main panel.

- Supplied as a PCB module, 10.5 to 14VDC, 30mA standby (200mA with all relays and LEDs active); occupies one module space.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the CM710B

Switch real devices

Four Form C relays let the Solution 6000 open a gate or garage door, run lights or release a door strike, not just trigger a siren.

Put outputs where you need them

RS485 LAN wiring means the module can sit in the panel box or out near the device, up to 300m away.

Room to grow

A Solution 6000 takes up to eight CM710B modules, so outputs can be added as the site adds gates, doors and automation.

Backed locally

Supplied by an authorised Bosch dealer with a 3-year warranty and Australia-wide support.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Gate and garage automation

Wire a relay to a gate or garage-door operator so arming, disarming or a keyfob button opens it.

Lighting and indicators

Switch exterior lights or status indicators on alarm, on entry or on a timed schedule.

Access control

Release an electric door strike from the panel for simple door control alongside the alarm.

Remote output points

Locate outputs near the controlled device instead of running long cable runs back to the panel.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What it is

A PCB output expansion module that adds four Form C relay outputs to a Bosch Solution 6000. It is not a standalone device and needs a Solution 6000 panel.

02

Wiring

Connect it to the panel's four-wire RS485 LAN, in the panel enclosure or remotely up to 300m away (1500m with Belden 8723). Set the module address on the three-way DIP switch.

03

Output ratings

Each of the four Form C relays is rated 24VDC at 2A max; size any external relay or contactor for higher loads such as mains lighting.

04

Professional install

In Australia a Bosch alarm should be installed by a licensed security installer, who wires the device to the panel on the RS485 LAN or wireless receiver, programs it and tests the system.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the CM710B

Q.01

How many outputs does the CM710B add?

It adds four Form C (changeover) relay outputs, each rated at 24VDC and 2A max.
Q.02

What can the relays switch?

Devices such as a garage door, gate, exterior lights, an electric door strike, a pump or a status indicator. For mains lighting, switch through a suitably rated relay or contactor.
Q.03

Which panel does it work with?

The Bosch Solution 6000 / 144. It is a PCB module that connects to the panel's RS485 LAN.
Q.04

Can I add more than one?

Yes. A Solution 6000 supports up to eight CM710B modules, giving up to 32 additional outputs.
Q.05

Can it be mounted away from the panel?

Yes. Because it runs on the RS485 LAN it can sit in the panel enclosure or up to 300m away on standard security cable, with a separate tamper input for its own box.
Q.06

How is it powered?

From the panel LAN at 10.5 to 14VDC, drawing about 30mA in standby and up to 200mA with all relays and LEDs active.
Q.07

Can a keyfob open my gate through it?

Yes. With an output wired to a gate or garage operator, a programmable keyfob button or the panel can trigger it.
Q.08

Is it a DIY product?

No. A licensed installer wires it to the panel, sets the module address and programs the outputs.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

02

Trigger outputs by remote

Pair outputs with a RFKF-FBS 4-button keyfob or an RF110 Smart RF keyfob so a button opens a gate or garage door.

03

More expansion

Need more zones too? Add the CM704B 8-zone expander, or the CM751B Conettix IP module for the app.
