What the PTZ-N4225I-DE is

The HiLook PTZ-N4225I-DE is a 2MP outdoor PTZ speed dome that replaces several fixed cameras with one steerable lens.

It pans a full 360 degrees, tilts from -15 to 90 degrees with auto-flip, and zooms 25x optically (plus 16x digital), so an operator or a scheduled patrol can follow activity across a car park, farmyard, school ground or industrial perimeter and zoom in to read a face or number plate far down the lot.

DarkFighter low-light technology and 120dB true WDR keep the image clear in dusk, deep shadow and strong backlight, and an enhanced infrared illuminator reaches up to 100 metres at night with Smart IR to avoid over-exposing nearer subjects.

Smart detection covers intrusion, line crossing, object removal and unattended-baggage events, and the camera holds 300 presets with patrol and pattern scans so it can run set tours automatically.

H.265+ compression keeps the higher-motion PTZ stream economical on storage.

The housing is IP66-rated with 4000V lightning, surge and voltage-transient protection for exposed pole and rooftop mounts.

It is powered by PoE+ (802.3at) or 12V DC and integrates plug-and-play with HiLook and Hikvision NVRs, including telemetry control without extra cabling.

A mounting bracket is purchased separately.

Installation & setup

What it is

A 2MP 25x PTZ outdoor speed dome with 100m IR. A wall, pole or pendant bracket is required and purchased separately.

Power

It needs PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) or a 12V DC supply. A standard 802.3af PoE port (about 15.4W) will not power it reliably, so confirm your switch or NVR delivers PoE+ on that port.

Mounting

Fit it high on a pole, gable or wall corner for the widest sweep, using the matching HiLook bracket; allow for the 2.5kg weight.

Setup

In Australia a network camera is usually fitted by a licensed security installer or a competent IT/cabling technician, who runs the Cat5e/6 cable, terminates the RJ45, mounts the camera and adds it to the NVR or app. Add it to a HiLook or Hikvision NVR for plug-and-play telemetry, then set presets, patrols and detection zones.

Yes, it integrates plug-and-play with HiLook and Hikvision NVRs over the network, including telemetry control. If it shows offline with a parameter error, update the NVR firmware first, which is the most common fix.
