A built-in IC card reader lets users arm or disarm with a quick card swipe instead of a PIN, and it also supports a separate patrol card for guard check-in. The keypad has 10 numeric keys and 6 function keys for fire alarm, away arming, stay arming, disarming, delete and confirm, plus clear status indicators - power (green), fault (orange) and alarm (red) - and four blue partition indicators. Front and rear tamper switches report any attempt to move or open it.

It communicates with the hub over two-way 433MHz wireless at up to 800m in open space, and runs on four AA batteries for around three years. Note that this is the keypad for the Hikvision Axiom wireless hub family: up to four keypads can be enrolled to a hub, which must be running compatible firmware (version 1.0.4 build 190629 or later). Before ordering, confirm it matches your specific Hikvision wireless hub; for current AX PRO systems the DS-PK1-LT-WB wireless keypad may be the better fit. It is an indoor device.
