What the HCT-4 is
The Bosch HCT-4 is bought when a household grows: another adult, a cleaner, a tenant in the flat out the back. It works with the WE800EV2 receiver, which stores a maximum of 21 fobs, so there is room for far more people than most sites need.
The four buttons are fixed and cannot be reassigned: away arm and disarm, stay arm and disarm, and the receiver's two relay outputs, which are commonly used for a gate or a roller door. Holding buttons 1 and 2 together for two seconds raises a panic alarm. The radio is 433.92mHz with code hopping security, a SAW resonator locked transmitter and a blue LED that confirms a press, and the fob weighs 35g with its battery. One habit worth passing on: the receiver will not respond to rapid arming attempts, so leave two seconds between presses. The warranty is 36 Months.
