The Hikvision DS-2DE7A425IW-AEB is a 4MP Pro Series PTZ speed dome designed for large outdoor sites that need both wide coverage and long-range detail. Its 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor captures 2560 x 1440 video, and the 25x optical zoom (4.8 to 120mm motorised lens) lets an operator sweep a whole area and then zoom right in on a distant person, vehicle or object with clarity.

DarkFighter low-light technology and up to 200m of infrared give strong night performance over distance; note that, like other IR cameras, night images are black and white. Full 360 degree endless pan and a -15 to 90 degree tilt range with auto-flip, plus 300 presets, 8 patrols and pattern scans, allow it to cover complex scenes, while deep-learning analytics classify humans and vehicles, capture faces and drive smart auto-tracking to follow a target with less operator effort. A 120dB WDR handles strong backlight and mixed lighting.

The rugged housing is rated IP66 weatherproof and IK10 vandal resistant, with 6000V surge protection and a wide -30 to 65 degree operating range for harsh Australian conditions. A built-in speaker (effective to around 30m) supports audio warnings and alerts. Note this is a power-hungry PTZ: it draws around 42W and runs on Hi-PoE or 24VAC rather than standard PoE, so plan a Hi-PoE injector or a 24VAC supply, as a typical NVR PoE port may not power it.
