01Overview

What the NS-0318P-130(B) is

Choose this model when 100 Mbps camera connections suit your system and you need copper or fibre uplink options.

Check each device's IEEE 802.3af/at requirements and the combined power demand before ordering: the 30 W per-port limit remains subject to the 130 W total budget.

The hardware DIP switch selects Standard or Extend mode; allow for the lower bandwidth when planning longer camera runs.

Install the switch in a ventilated equipment room using the manufacturer's rack-installation guidance.

A fibre connection requires a suitable SFP optical module.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the NS-0318P-130(B)

Q.01

What changes when I enable Extend mode?

On this model, the DIP switch enables longer links on ports 9–16, up to 250 m, and reduces those ports to 10 Mbps. Standard mode is the default. Check the bandwidth required by each connected camera before selecting Extend mode.
Q.02

Can every PoE port supply 30 W at once?

No. Each port supports up to 30 W, but all 16 ports share a 130 W PoE budget. Check the combined maximum demand of your planned devices as well as each device's PoE standard and power requirement.
Q.03

Are the camera ports Gigabit, and how does the fibre uplink work?

The 16 camera-facing PoE ports are 10/100 Mbps. Gigabit connectivity is provided by a separate RJ45 port and an SFP slot. The SFP slot needs a suitable optical module and fibre connection; it is not a second copper RJ45 port.
Q.04

Can I mount the switch outdoors?

The manufacturer's guide specifies equipment-room installation with ventilation and grounding. Use its rack-installation instructions. The listed 6 kV PoE-port surge protection is not a weatherproof enclosure rating.
