01Overview

What the DS-3E0528HP-E is

Use ports 1 to 4 for compatible higher-power devices and ports 5 to 24 for devices requiring up to 30 W per port.

Check both the device's PoE standard and the total power demand before choosing the switch.

Ports 21 to 24 offer long-range operation up to 300 m, subject to the camera and cable; this is not a promise of Gigabit speed at that distance.

The metal enclosure supports rack installation with mounting ears.

SFP modules are optional accessories selected for the fibre connection.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-3E0528HP-E

Q.01

Does the 24-port count include the uplinks?

No. There are 24 powered Gigabit ports plus two Gigabit RJ45 ports and two Gigabit fibre ports, giving 28 network interfaces in total.
Q.02

Can all four Hi-PoE ports supply 90 W at once?

Each of ports 1 to 4 is rated up to 90 W, but all connected devices share a 370 W PoE budget. Four devices drawing 90 W each would leave only 10 W of that budget for the other ports. Match each device's PoE requirements and allow for the total load.
Q.03

Which ports can reach 300 m?

Long-range operation applies to ports 21 to 24. Hikvision states a maximum of 300 m and notes that performance depends on the camera model and cable condition. Do not assume Gigabit throughput at that distance; check the link requirements before using long-range mode.
Q.04

Are fibre transceivers included?

Hikvision lists SFP modules as optional accessories. Select modules to suit the fibre link rather than treating the two fibre ports as a complete optical connection on their own.
Q.05

What does PoE watchdog do?

On ports 1 to 24, PoE watchdog can detect cameras that stop responding and restart them. It is a recovery function; it does not replace checking the camera, cable and power requirements when a fault persists.
