§ 01Overview

What the DS-3WF02-5AC/D is

Hikvision DS-3WF02-5AC/D connects two network locations over a 5GHz wireless link. The paired outdoor units provide an Ethernet connection for remote cameras or another building, with PoE supplies included for both ends.

The bridge has an IP55 housing and a directional antenna for pole installation. Signal indicators and alignment tools help with positioning; the usable data rate depends on the link conditions and distance.

The remote CPE can supply a camera through its PoE output when powered through the appropriate PoE input. Check the camera load against the output budget and choose the power arrangement before mounting the units.

§ 08Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-3WF02-5AC/D

Q.01

Does the 867Mbps rating mean I can send that much camera traffic?

On the DS-3WF02-5AC/D, 867Mbps is the wireless air-interface rating; each Ethernet port runs at 10/100Mbps. The PTP throughput figures are 90Mbps at 1km and 40Mbps at 5km using AC80, so size the combined camera streams against the throughput figure for the planned link.
Q.02

Can the remote bridge power my camera if I use its DC input?

The CPE has an 802.3af PoE output with a 10W budget, but that output is unavailable when the bridge is powered through its DC socket. Use the specified PoE input arrangement and keep the connected camera within the output budget.
Q.03

Are the AP and CPE power inputs interchangeable?

The AP accepts standard 802.3af/at PoE on LAN1, while the CPE uses passive PoE on LAN1. Identify the unit and port before connecting power; the kit includes two PoE supplies.
