Hanwha PNO-A9092R 8MP AI Long-Range Bullet, 15-50mm, 120m WiseIR

SKU: PNO-A9092R
Description

- Long-Range Telephoto Lens: 15mm to 50mm motorized varifocal (3.33x) — a genuine telephoto reach, not just a wider varifocal — for identifying subjects at yard-scale distances from a single mount.
- WiseIR 120m — 4x Standard Outdoor Bullets: full-dark identification at 120 metres, enough to cover the far end of a container yard, mast-mounted perimeter run, or industrial site boundary without external lighting.
- 0.015 Lux Colour, 0.0015 Lux Mono: F1.5 fast optics hold colour capture at near-invisible ambient light; IR-off mode still produces evidence-grade footage from yard security lighting.
- Dual NPU AI at 8MP: person, face, vehicle and licence plate classification on target subjects at range — high-detail zoom identification combined with rule-scoped alerting.

§ 01Overview

What the PNO-A9092R is

The Hanwha PNO-A9092R is a purpose-designed long-range AI bullet camera — 8MP resolution paired with a 15mm to 50mm motorized varifocal telephoto lens (3.33x optical zoom) and WiseIR reaching 120m.

It's built for the sites where standard outdoor bullets fall short: mast-mounted perimeter runs at ports, container yards, oil and gas depots, remote-site fence lines, and large campus boundary walls.

The 42.7° to 12.6° horizontal field of view lets a single install cover a distant approach at wide setting and pull licence-plate-legible detail at tele.

Dual NPU Wisenet 9 image enhancement (extremeWDR, WiseNR II AI noise reduction) works in parallel with object classification (Person, Face, Vehicle, License plate).

Minimum illumination reaches 0.015 Lux in colour (F1.5) — enough to hold colour in dusk or lightly-lit yard environments before IR kicks in.

IP66, IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X plus NEMA TS 2-2013 traffic surveillance rating; PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) power.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNO-A9092R

True Telephoto, Not Just Wider Varifocal

A 15mm to 50mm range delivers real long-range identification, not the 2-3x zoom that standard bullets pass off as 'varifocal'. At 50mm, a subject at the far end of a container yard is still identifiable, not a distant blob.

120m IR — Four Times Standard Outdoor Bullets

Standard IR bullets stop well short of the horizon on a long yard before falling into unusable noise. WiseIR 120m clears the horizon on a typical mast-mounted perimeter run or industrial site boundary, eliminating the need for external floodlighting at the far end.

Purpose-Built for Sites Where Distance Matters

Ports, container yards, oil and gas depots, remote-site fence lines, large campus perimeters — the sites where standard outdoor bullets simply don't reach. Substantially cheaper than a PTZ dome + separate spotter setup for equivalent coverage.

Wisenet 9 Dual NPU Keeps AI at 8MP

Running 8MP output through both extremeWDR and full AI classification simultaneously would starve a single-NPU camera. The dual NPU architecture keeps both workloads at full performance concurrently — practical difference during real events.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Container Ports & Dockyards

Mast-mounted 15-50mm covers apron approaches and outer berth boundaries; 120m IR handles wharf area lighting variations plus far-end night coverage.

Oil, Gas & Chemical Depot Perimeters

Large-footprint industrial sites where 30m IR bullets leave gaps between camera positions; long-range coverage lets one mount replace two or three standard bullets.

Airport Landside Fences

Long boundary fence lines with the 120m reach filling in between mast positions; NEMA TS 2 rating clears procurement for transport-authority tenders.

Large Campus & Educational Perimeters

Universities and campus sites with extended boundary walls; 8MP + 3.33x zoom pulls identifiable detail from distant events.

Remote-Site Solar/Wind Farm Perimeters

Renewable-energy sites where each camera position has to cover extended acreage; long-range IR and telephoto reach cut installation density by half.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the PNO-A9092R

Q.01

What makes this a long-range camera specifically?

Three things together: the 15mm to 50mm telephoto varifocal (3.33x zoom, versus the modest zoom range on standard bullets), the WiseIR reach of 120m (versus the shorter distances typical of standard bullets), and the F1.5 fast optics holding colour to 0.015 Lux. All three point to distant subjects — no other single feature makes a bullet 'long range'.
Q.02

How does 120m WiseIR compare to standard outdoor bullets?

Standard outdoor bullets typically deliver a fraction of that range in usable IR. This camera reaches 120m — three to four times the range. For sites where the fence line or facade is well beyond standard-IR reach from the camera position, that's the difference between usable identification and a black frame at the far end.
Q.03

What's the practical difference between 50mm tele and a PTZ camera?

A PTZ can zoom and pan to any target on demand, but only shows one place at a time. This bullet holds the same field of view continuously — every event in its coverage is recorded at native resolution, not just the one the PTZ was pointing at during the incident. For evidence continuity that's often the deciding factor.
Q.04

Does the traffic surveillance rating matter?

NEMA TS 2-2013 clears traffic and road-authority procurement gates. Australian road authorities increasingly reference NEMA TS 2 as a baseline, so uncertified cameras get filtered out. Municipal, transport, and highway projects benefit directly.
Q.05

What AI can it classify at range?

The dual NPU AI classifies Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate. At the 50mm tele end with 8MP resolution, faces and plates at typical long-range distances from the camera are still identifiable — meaningful for long-range perimeter identification.
Q.06

What VMS platforms does it work with?

ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, so it drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) documented for custom code.
Q.07

Is it heavier or larger than a standard bullet?

Yes - the telephoto lens and larger IR LED array add physical size and weight versus a standard bullet. Verify mounting substrate and bracket load ratings for mast or pole positions where wind load is a factor.
