What the HV-QNF-8010 is

The Hanwha HV-QNF-8010 is a 6MP indoor fisheye camera built around a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a 1.14mm fisheye lens, delivering 2048x2048 resolution across a full 187° horizontal and 187° vertical field of view — enough to blanket an entire room from a single ceiling mount.

On-camera dewarping outputs original fisheye, single panorama, double panorama and quad views in parallel, so the VMS side just picks the perspective it wants without doing the geometry itself.

The 120dB wide dynamic range holds detail in backlit doorways and shop-window reflections, while the on-board people counting and heatmap analytics turn every install into a footfall data source.

Indoor IP42 housing, PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 3) power, and a compact 320g body keep the install simple.

What's dewarping and does it need extra software?

Dewarping is the geometry step that turns the round fisheye image into a flat perspective. On this camera it runs in-hardware and outputs single panorama, double panorama or quad view live, so the VMS receives already-flat streams — no plugin or add-on module required.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. The indoor IP42 rating covers dust and vertical water drips only. For outdoor deployment (rain, direct sun, wind-driven debris), a camera with a higher weatherproof rating is required. Use this one strictly for indoor ceilings.

What analytics come with it, and do I need to license anything?

Defocus detection, tampering detection, motion detection, heatmap and people counting are built into the camera and accessible via the web interface or any ONVIF-compatible VMS. No add-on licence is required to switch these on.

Does it work with my existing NVR?

The camera ships ONVIF Profile S / G / T certified so it drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS or NVR. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is the fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) is documented for custom integrations.

How much light does it need for a colour image?

Minimum illumination for a usable colour image is 0.2 Lux at 1/30 sec, F2.2. In typical retail, office and classroom lighting that threshold is easily cleared. In much darker rooms the image quality will drop before the sensor reaches its limit.

How do I mount it discreetly?

The camera is compact and 320g, so it sits low against a ceiling. Use the supplied template to mark screw positions, then feed the RJ-45 cable up through a ceiling void — no separate power run needed with PoE Class 3.
