What the HV-QNE-C8013RL is

The Hanwha HV-QNE-C8013RL is a 5MP AI network flateye camera built around a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and a 3.0mm fixed lens with an F1.2 maximum aperture — the wide opening drives colour sensitivity down to 0.022 lux, with 0Lux capture once the LEDs are on.

What separates it from a plain IR bullet is the dual 30m illumination: a warm colour LED alongside an 850nm IR LED, both reaching 30m, so the operator picks between covert infrared and colour-accurate lighting per scene.

The on-board AI engine classifies people and five vehicle sub-types (car, bus, truck, motorcycle, bicycle), and drives WiseNRⅡ noise reduction and WiseStreamⅢ codec so bandwidth follows scene complexity.

IP66, IP67 and IK10 ratings plus a -40°C to +60°C operating range cover exposed outdoor mounting; ONVIF S/G/T/M keeps it VMS-compatible.

A dome cover scratches, clouds with UV, and can create internal reflection off the IR LEDs. The flateye housing has no outer cover over the lens, so the 5MP image quality is what leaves the sensor — nothing sits in front of it to fog, refract or age.

Is there any additional licence to unlock the analytics?

No. Object classification, virtual line, virtual area (loitering, intrusion, enter, exit), tampering, defocus detection, people counting, queue management, heatmap and vehicle counting are all included on the camera itself, accessible via the web interface or any ONVIF-capable VMS.

Can I run this over standard PoE, or do I need PoE+?

Standard PoE is enough. It draws PoE Class 3 (IEEE 802.3af), max 10.0W and typical 4.5W — any PoE (not PoE+) switch port with headroom will run it, including when both LEDs are active.

How much of the microSD slot can I use?

The slot supports SD, SDHC and SDXC cards up to 256GB for standard edge recording. If you enrol the camera into Hanwha's OnCloud edge service, that limit lifts to 1TB — the camera is one of the first Q-series units to support that ceiling.

What are the DORI distances for this 3.0mm lens?

Detect at 45.9m, Observe at 18.3m, Recognize at 9.2m, Identify at 4.6m — these are the certified EN62676-4 figures. Because the lens is fixed at 3.0mm, you'll want people you actually need to identify inside about 4.6m of the camera.

Yes. RCM certification under AS/NZS CISPR 32 Class A covers electromagnetic compatibility for use in Australia; NDAA compliance is also declared, alongside Hanwha's own secure boot, signed firmware and firmware encryption stack.
