The Hikvision DS-2CD63C5G0-IS is a 12 MP DeepinView fisheye camera built to watch a whole room or open area from one central ceiling mount.

Its Immervision panoramic lens delivers a full 360-degree field of view, 180 degrees in each direction, and the 1/1.7" sensor records at 4000 x 3000, so even after the image is dewarped into flat views there is enough resolution to keep detail.

Eighteen display modes, including panorama, multiple virtual PTZ views, hemisphere and cylinder, let an operator pull several normal-looking views from the single fisheye stream.

It is as much a business-intelligence camera as a security one.

Deep-learning analytics count people and present an intuitive heatmap of how a space is used, which is valuable for retail, transport hubs and public buildings, and it also supports behaviour rules such as line crossing, intrusion and object removal.

Built-in two-way audio, with two microphones and a speaker, lets an operator listen to and speak into the area, while infrared LEDs give night vision to 15 metres for low-light and zero-light coverage of the room below.

Fisheye camera, ceiling mounting base and the printed guide. A pendant, wall or junction-box mount is selected to suit the position and bought separately if needed.

Power and cabling

Run a single gigabit network cable for PoE. Use a gigabit-capable switch or NVR port so the large 12 MP stream is not bottlenecked.

Fit it centrally on the ceiling of the area you want to cover for the full overhead panorama, keeping it clear of beams and light fittings that would block the view.

Setup
