Installation Requirements

1. Power Source: Requires IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet switch or separate 12V DC adapter (not included), with PoE delivering both power and data via single Cat6 cable up to 100 metres distance. 2. Network Connection: Compatible with all Australian NBN connection types including FTTP, HFC, and FTTN, requiring standard Ethernet connection to router with no special configuration needed for typical residential use. 3. Mounting Surface: Install at 2.5-3.0 metre height on solid brick, concrete, timber, or metal surfaces capable of supporting 745-gram camera weight using appropriate fasteners for surface type. 4. Environmental Clearance: Maintain minimum 300mm clearance from walls when using infrared illumination to prevent reflection, and position to avoid direct north-facing sun exposure that causes lens flare. 5. Cabling Standards: Use Cat6 solid copper cable with T568A or T568B wiring, maintaining 150mm separation from 240V mains power lines, with weatherproof RJ45 connectors and silicone caulking around entry points.
